I'm making a new bot (in VB) for the new create light command in AW 3.1.
Usually, I make stand-alone bots that won't be publicly available anyway, so
I only test it myself before releasing it, but since this bot is gonna be a
public MBE/KAHBOT release, I have started a closed beta. Now, the testers
all got run-time error 450, but I don't get it. The VB reference didn't help
much, so I'm asking you guys what it really means (the stuff in the
reference is quite weird) and how I can fix it. Because I don't get the
error, I don't know where it is.

well, I actually tryed to make a setup, but it couldn't find AwSdkOcx2's
dependencies and I tought hat there was no point to make a setup app then.
So if anybody knows how to fix that, please contact me :-))

I need a Xelagot script that can eject ppl if the say certain words (a
little like the wordlist, but instead of playing a sound, it ejects the
person). This is to get rid of ppl swearing at GZ. If you sometime have sayd
"shit" on AWGate GZ, you know what I mean. Or if there is no script like
this, how do I make one?

well, I'm thinking of trying to make a script that recognizes frases, not
just the word. Of course (even if I've caused myself trouble that way) i'll
test this on myself. if I get this to work allright, I'll give the script to
everybody that wants it (but don't await yourself that this is going to
happen in this century LOL). but when I think of it, just reviewing the
chat-log and then add ppl to the eject list afterwards is better than just
kicking them out instantly.

Hi all, I wondered if anybody knew where I could sell copies of my software

advantage of the 3.1 SDK in VB! MrGrimm newly released AwSdkOcx3 VB wrapper
for the AW SDK build 19. He also has rewanped the GrimmSoft site, with a new

Well, as MrGrimm sayd, you have to call AW_WAIT! And you should also do the
state thingy when you log in your bot.

PS. If you don't call AW_WAIT all the time, your bot will be thrown away by
the AW server.

do you mean sending files with a bot or with the AW browser? to send a file
with a VB bot, use Winsock.

Tell J B E L L to buy a line from a provider that accepts it's users to host
servers. I guess that in the US AT&T would truly have some service for that.
Here in Norway the major ISP is divided into two: one for home use and one
for business use.

I've got myself a 3rd party installer-utility (the VB app installer wizard
makes a VERY ugly installer that can't be customized...) to distribute my
apps, but I don't know what files to distribute with the app (OCX's) and how
to register them as controls. Could anyone tell me how I do this?

well, that's what I want, and I also want to put it in apropriate Start menu
folders and have pretty graphics in the installer...I've used the installer
utility before, but with The Games Factory games, it only needs 3 files...

I use this method for general walking:

sdk.AwMyX = sdk.AwMyX + 1000 'this would make the bot 1 coord to the West
sdk.AwStateChange 'reports the stuff the server

in C/C++ I guess it would be something like this:
AW_MY_X = AW_MY_X + 1000
AW_STATE_CHANGE
I dunno about that, cuzz I'm no good at C++

the bot looks the way it runs with the code I used (thanx m a k a v e l i),
but it runs way to fast, and to get it to run at a slightly slower rate, I
have parametered it only to run within a 2 coords big radius. I'd like to
have it moving on a larger radius, but slow...

that's a quite usual first-time error to do :-)) (did it myself)

a complicated option would be to register a custom type, that stores info
about everybody that enters the hearing-range, so that the bot can use the
ListIndex... and you don't need to use HTML to do it, I guess that you
copyed it from VB and that the message formatted itself, but there's a
solution to make it plain text: use the Format > Plain Text menu :-))
remember, if everybody posted in HTML, it would increase the article
database's size by 300 %
