there's a link on Vevo's AW Map About page (http://awmap.vevo.com). You
should send a mail to one of the at activeworlds.com adresses (can't remember
wich, but I once asked about an av from Mars) about that registry. I dunno
how big COFMeta is, but I think that that registry could be VERY large...

READ THE "WHAT'S NEW?" WEBPAGES CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU MAKE SILLY

the site about 3.1 says CLEARLY that it's AFTER THE UNIVERSE SERVER WAS

Yesterday, I upgraded to AW version 3.1 (I just COULDN'T resist!!), even if
I knew I've had problems with AW 3.0 and used 2.2 instead. Now, my problem
is, that for some reason, the browser doesn't render textures. I have all
the hardware-requirements, my card supports both Direct3D and DirectDraw,
has got 4MB RAM (ok, that's bad) and works fine with all other things
(except some 3dFx stuff). It's an STB Nitro 3D from 1997, and there are NO
new drivers (DOH!), chipset is S3 ViRGE (looked at Mauz's overview of vid
cards, should work). I use 16-bit colors and 1024 x 768 resolution. Could
somebody tell me how I could get it to render textures (it doesn't give me
any error messages) ?
KAH
PS. I guess that I'll better buy a voodo 5 card soon...

well, I knew of the prob and installed 3.1 on another harddisk...I'll try

deleting the cache didn't work...anyway, I installed AW 3.1 esle that where
2.2 is. I think that I don't have that 960 x 720 and i don't want a 800 x
600 resolution, that's too low. well, I've been in contact with a local
retailer, I guess that I'll buy VOOODOO5 pretty soon...
I'll check if I have that other res.

actually, I've also sorted my NGs into trees, and I try to moderate it.
anyway, I've got only 3 public Ngs at the moment, one is a test and will be
deleted and I have 1 private for the beta testers of my new bot. I hope that
you don't mind, I'm not trying to compete with you, nor with anybody else,
just make my own service, primarely for myself and my projects. I haven't
made any of those Topic groups (like bots, community, sdk, worldbuilders,
etc) because I don't want to make a server with those topics, and I've sayd
this before.
Thanks for your attention, and I'll check out your server too :-))

YOU FOOL! have you ever seen the difference between walk029.rwx and
landa.rwx (I'm not talking about size)? they're REALLY different, but they
still use the same texture, grasso.jpg... I KNOW that that screws up, I've
tryed myself!

object names will be a pain to remember and won't sort alphabetically
correctly.

creating an ENTIRE new set of objects, which is just silly to me, especially
when builds will be ENHANCED, not "destroyed" because of having lit objects.

with an "L". ;-)
necessary changes on AW's objects (even on Yellow and Mars and etc) You know
me - I'll write a tool to do that in no time :) This tool will add the "l"
prefix to the object as Lara proposed (or how about adding it as a suffix?
Like walk029hl.rwx? - maybe it will lead to confusion? It is up to you folks
to pick the best naming method!) We should keep the names as short as
possible (Darned BI!!)
texturemode lit command to them (and they did not have it before). IMO it is
a dangerous action!! Zillions of beautiful constructions will be screwed up
badly!
the objects statistically it will affect about 7,000,000 existing objects
inworld!!!
introduce another sets of objects with those commands added!
something
are
task and
work.
want to, I

CAN'T YOU SHUT UP??????!!!!!
Ananas sure isn't a twit, but YOU are!!!! You have to attack all the ppl
that do good things for the community, do you???? I might even put you on a
filter, wich I hate to do!

editing them in text files does, perhaps. However, a GUI to add avatars (and
their SEQs, sounds, etc) to a world would be MUCH more user-friendly and
easier to use than having to edit avatars.dat.
deal
"wrote" is offensive--as is your condescending "I'll translate it for you"
bit--simply change the word and don't be such a prick about it. Your "Aw:"
subject line prefix is offensive. Your lack of actually QUOTING something I
wrote is offensive. Your bad punctuation is offensive. In short, Ananas, YOU
are offensive, so if you don't want to be flamed for your offensiveness,
simply don't BE offensive.
