Yeah, I keep bothering Roland about the new aw feature "Custom Avs" where
an av of your choice could be used in any world, it would download off of say, your web server or something of the sort. They are working on it though, so hopefully it will be out SOONER THAN LATER! -raiven- I Wish I May, I Wish I Might...Oct 14, 1998, 4:23pm
I agree to this point. 1 programmer (which indeed is all COF can afford,
the bulk of their revenues go to keeping the servers up and paying Roland, their sole programmer). So Grover made a good point, we can wait and wait and wait and watch our individual wishes SLOWLY be made one by one by Mr. Roland. OR he can hand brooms to all the willing sweepers and let them help clean the pile. Bada boom bada bing, the List™ is a whole lot shorter, and getting shorter faster. -raiven- [View Quote] I Wish I May, I Wish I Might...Oct 14, 1998, 6:47pm

LOLOLOLOLOL I think its all terribly funny, and that it is a funny idea of
NAS, not sadistic of sick minded. C'MON PEOPLE LIGHTEN UP! sheesh, it is a virtual world and anything that would add something to do other than stare at unlimited combinations of objects is welcome. The cancellation of the account is a bit much..though...but seeing a gray av twitching and PS's in environment suits running up and asking him to follow them to the hospital where he might click a syringe object and be cured...would add the grand opera that is the AW universe. LOL Just like the AW gangs that passed through some time ago, those were funny, and they were reported on in the local AW newspaper (then hosted by Dataman) and current whereabouts were also discussed, and ppl would often shout they had witnessed a gang offence! and report where it took place. it was all a game and really added to AW's entertainment factor. Also, years ago, when all objects in AW were deleted, it was claimed far and wide that a meteor had struck and annihilated everything in sight! So for those of you want to live in a perfect virtual environment where nothing interesting ever happens, I suggest u stay away from here. heheh -raiven- AW doorbellOct 17, 1998, 4:22am
I would like to see actual 'action - event' objects in AW. When you trip an
object that performs an event, it only happens on YOUR screen, e.g., when someone walks into an open/close door. Others around don't see it open for you. Anyway, what I would like, is a trip - telegram command, this is not a very important feature, but would be neat if say, someone drops by a certain area of yours...it trips an object that sends you a telegram telling u a specific message, prearranged to the obbie. Or even just true action - events, like say activate wav, that could be left alone, for private listening, but there should be an alternate command, where a click would start the sound playing on everyone's computers. Would be useful if you were away, and left your av at an area, u could set an object with a sound, and if anyone came it would BONG...play on your speakers, so u would be notified. Not unlike the icq honk. Latta -raiven- (rune) |
