Thanks in advance,

Power. How many of us equate its meaning to be possession of control and
influence over others? Derived from the French poeir, it translates to TO
BE ABLE.
AW is a rich community of people that possess the power to create, to make
virtual places of beauty and interest to share with others. They have the
power to bring people together in friendship.
Several such highly creative and "powerful" people have clashed in part over
an avatar I had created for exclusive use in y2000. In mid march I
discovered a retextured copy in BluPearl. I want it understood that I spoke
with One Summer and it was quickly removed from the path when she learned of
its origin. The matter was dropped and I had hoped that was the end.
Now the issue has resurfaced and is causing division in this community to
the point of acts of vandalism and harassment to both "sides". As the
avatar's creator I have not been exempt.
Anubis WAS removed from BluPearl to my satisfaction as sole owner to all
rights of the work. Signs HAVE been removed from y2000.
It is my deepest hope that everyone that has been swept up by this will be
emPOWERed to forgive and to return to creating a better community. Use your
power for the positive.

Something to consider.
I live in a city that has the largest Arab community in the US. Thousands
are Iraqi refuges. They fled their country and the terror of the Hussein
regime. Not "propaganda" from media but first hand talking with people that
have watched family members beaten, tortured, locked up, or murdered because
they didn't agree with Sadam. I have watched them picket city hall
pleading that the US go to war and remove Saddam Hussein from power.
Watch your neighbor come to harm and look the other way. ;o(

What version of TrueSpace are you using Anne? There is a plugin tool called
solidify that was supported for TS2-4. I'm not certain it would work for
TS5 or 6. Usually this will make any imported conversion a solid object with
a single click of a button. Try www.primitiveitch.com for a whole list of
useful free plugins for your program.

This morning we received a suspect email with a supposed security patch
update from Microsoft. This was in the form of an authentic looking html
email with attachment.
This is a load of bull! ALL windows updates should be received by live
update information or the user downloading directly from Microsoft. The so
called patch contained Worm.Automat.AHB, one of the newest threats per
Norton's Antivirus definitions.
I urge the community to get the latest Norton's or other anti-virus software
updates for their systems and take caution of any "security patchs" received
through an email.
Everyone have a terrific and "safe" day.

We also had the problem. AW crashed each time we entered the AV00 awards
worlds....until we changed the settings for avatars. We unchecked the two
boxes on showing multiple avatars and avatar animation. After that was
ok...but of course we didn't get to SEE the avatars unless a screenshot was
put on the stage.
Contratulations to all the winning entries, by the way. Great work!

Due to a change of policy regarding use, in particular the banning of zipped
files, the Murasaki 3D site was deleted today by our "host". I am currently
searching for a new host to get back online asap. I regret any inconvenience
this may cause.
If anyone could suggest a webhost they have found to be reliable and
generous with space and bandwidth, I would appreciate your input. ;oD
