well ummm actually I was a creepy hermit even when everyone was here....so
not much difference LOL

But I have to say.....I never noticed there was nothing on tv but cop shows,
since I haven't turned it on in over a year, till lately....geeez horrible

Obligations keep me here like many, and like many others, plans are made for
the switch this weekend. Some can move fast, others have to think of other
people. This is the first time in all the years that it involved the
complete closing of a browser to go to another....it is a tad more difficult
to arrange things to be easiest for all.

And only time will tell if we can get it done and get the worlds over
there.....it is not easy waiting, believe me....but necessary

well some are coming back to visit me LOL....others just seem to want to
watch it die....simple heh....some yes are having trouble but seems less and
less per day as AW fixes up a few of those nasties. I think by the time I go
for the load I will get a jewel of a download LMAO....well, I can hope,
can't I? LOL

oh yes I will say there is progress though...seems Princess Leia has
disappeared so maybe her pixels got shipped (wonder if she even woke up
LOL)....but The Derek is still in a coma here LMAO and I am not really sure
why he has been here over the years

ok last I heard it was June 10 for end of nominations....and considering
that some of us are NOT over there yet and D-Day is June 12....would
understand extending nominations to June 12....so all builds are
available.....but again you make no sense....geeez....

My bad. I realized just after I posted it...sorry CY

I do think starting voting on the 10th is too early....12th is end of
universe....most of us have huge repairs etc to get our worlds and builds
going....the weekend of the 10th is the "last move", unpacking
cardboardbox.rwx, fixing up the bots, repairing bad warps, etc

Due to circumstances I don't think it is asking too much for the CY
committee to put off the week of voting....for a week....give us all time to
settle our own worlds and builds and start looking around.....

A week to look at what is available....then a week of voting,
perhaps?....Just a thought : )

Can't or won't...anyway, no matter.

Well I went to cyawards couple weeks ago to nominate Freebies, because I do
think they at least deserve a good pat on the back for their efforts. I got
that password, and have of course forgotten all about it....but noticed I
had been nominated for something...now I see 2....well before I wrote you
here, I had gone to cyawards to get more info on what I had been nominated
for or to edit the 'facts'.....There has been no cybot there for days, hence
no new passwords....

as a matter of fact the entrance message is
Nominations have started in Cyawards world --------- 1 week to nominate your
picks for each category -------- click on the gold star in cyawards landing
area - bot will give you a password - it changes everytime you click on it

I was kind of hoping that we would have an option of global typing chat,
since half of my world is out of range of gz. Its always been a pain to keep
in conversations using bots, and people losing each other by going too far
from each other (which happens a lot at my world because of tricks).

Global typing chat with the option of 'distance' would have been
fantastic....I don't see anything like that except voice, which I have no
use for.

and with Voice....how would you propose cencoring that?....Censorship is
passée LOL.....what they cannot type they can say out loud....a mute feature
for separate voices might be nice, but possible? When you mute a person's
type, does it also mute their voice?

so what you are saying is I will have to change over 100 bmp on my worlds
since they have always been saved at 16 bit....ok that seems like a big
problem to me

well we are in and checked both worlds....of the hundreds of masks we did
only find one tree problem....tree2s.

On unzipping it I did see that the bmp was named in full caps. It did show
in properties at '1' like our others.....I put it into my ftp and changed
name to low case...removed it and rezipped. This method usually works fine
to remove the notorious pic.JPG ...this was TREE2S.BMP...although it changed
to tree2s.bmp and zipped fine, it still did not work. Something about 97 or
98 resolution was the only difference I could see between this one and our
usuals...I used Windows Paint, saved it as a bmp monochrome (as usual)
rezipped and loaded....all the trees masked fine.

Strange LOL it was 16 bit (digit 1) like the rest yet was the only
troublemaker.

I am very relieved LOL

Sooner or later they unblock you because they calmed down (which, time-out
is sometimes a good idea)....or if you stay blocked, well, no need of that
kind of friend anyway....such is life

well I am still at 3.6....and nominated....We plan moving on the 12th.....I
did ask the CY to maybe put off the voting for a week, giving us all time to
get over, make repairs, time for people to see builds (long list), and
others to get connected in order to vote.....but it was knocked down with a
'can't do'....whatever their reasons are, they are not good enough,
considering this huge move.

Tunablues dropped by 3.6 to try giving me passwords as the CY bot was not,
and maybe still isn't, even running anymore in 3.6. Twice these passwords
did not work.

Wish you luck CoLor...but to put it mildly, heh we are screwed

Thank you (you know who) for the nominations....award or no award, you made
me feel like a winner! : )

When I went to Cyworld before the move the bot gave me passwords, and they
worked, so I guess I accepted cookies fine then. When nominations closed,
the Cybot was gone, so I could not change the 'description' of what I was
nominated for, or supply screenshots of the builds. Tunablues came to 3.6
and gave me a password ....cybot was still not running in 3.6....twice the
passwords did not work, I accepted cookies....

As I see it now at 3.6 there is no longer even a Cyworld on my list....nor
is there, of course, a cybot here....

Anyway no matter....I have gotten the green light to get on with the show,
finally. So hopefully will be there soon, worlds and all.....I just feel
sorry for the others, like CoLor, and other users, that got a bum deal.
Everyone talks community, but when you have 'lost' a part of your community,
you would think they would postpone, even just a week, the only real
'community event'....

Well, certainly NOT ActiveWorlds....that would make way too many people
happy LOL.....quit for the day, give up for now, I give up.....

And I gave up....and quit....and gave up again....and quit again....and
swore...and stomped feet.....threw things at the wall...quit again.....and
then.....GOT THE WORLDS RUNNING!!!....sort of : )

I am a quitter....put I am a persistent quitter when it comes to AW.....LMAO

while in 3.6 those last days I made a new object. When I switched over to
4.1, I noticed something strange. The cat could no longer go through the
doorway of the new object.

Either the cat grew...or the objects shrunk. I closed 4.1 and went back to
3.6...and could pass the doorway fine....it had been adjust to just fit the
cat av. Returning to 4.1 I again tried to enter...same object, same
OP....the cat would not enter....removed the doorway and he still could not
get in....I removed the roof and he was ok....

It turned out I had to increase the height of the doorway and roof by
approximately a foot difference, for that one foot high av. I probably would
never have noticed this except that was last object and was measured exactly
to fit the cat's size.

Now my question is....did the avs grow? or did the furniture shrink? LOL

oh yes....and I find the block and question mark handy for when I
travel...only time I use it....because I tend to use various machines across
the country, teleys get lost since like teleports they are not attached to
our cit numbers just the machine we are using at the time, so I only unblock
the few who know where I am and when I am there....saves me coming home to 4
months of outdated teleys also LOL
