well, youngster, wait till ya get as old as me.....1,200 days today LOL (you
do the math, I am too tired heh).....since june2000....and fact is, I have a
fantastic real life too. Only thing I am not quite sure of is where VR stops
and RL begins (those seagulls in real sure do look like the ones at Yellow,
and the tourists in Montreal look like the ones at the Gate, and I can't
help seeing lists of vertex numbers as the buildings - only water sucks in
vr and looks great in real so that keeps me grounded LOL)

actually no I am not afk all the time....the computer is central in the
house....I keep an eye on the worlds I run, the bots, etc etc. Only time I
am afk is when I sleep which is quite rare as am a true AW insomniac....One
building spree was 78 hours straight, no food, no sleep, peed when I thought
of it. When I am out (afk) am usually visiting my friend, who is also a cit
here, and partner for our worlds for the last 6 years, working on notepad
making objects and yes, online under her name at her house LOL (vr/rl)

I was offline accumulated about 1 year of that time, living and sleeping on
the floor of my van and in AW people's driveways all over usa and canada.

Sorry....I am a true addict....most of that time is legit online time. I
just have a habit of not answering teleys, ignoring people I dont feel like
talking to and being all round antisocial like Strike LMAO....but I love AW
: )

I have heard recently through the rumour mill that with the 4.1 our contact
lists will be wiped out. People will need Permission to add names to their
lists in the future.

If this is true, you may want to make some notes of cit names and numbers
before this change takes place. Friends and enemies LOL.

If you wish to disappear or hide, this would be the time for a name change,
which would not be seen by others,

True or not, I am not sure. I am making my lists and checking them twice,
knowing who's been naughty or nice LMAO

well since today is some american holiday I would not think tonight at
midnight. And being the day after an american holiday I would think they
need a pot or two of coffee before they even think about 4.1....So I would
think, if it is coming at all LOL, that it would be sometimes late morning
Boston time....

Someone should have started a little pool on this LMAO....I chose 11am
boston time as my bet, mark me down for a vr buck LOL

weeks and check in on them daily since I saw them on our local news. Thought
it would be nice to share with my American friends on this holiday

click on the eagles once....then double click then for full screen.

From Canada to our neighbours in USA...the Bald Eagle live streaming nest of
2 chicks and parents, high in a tree in vancouver. Beautiful birds,
protected and loved and one man's crusade to bring them to us by cam.

This HAS to be using a cam to its full potential

and by the sounds of it tourists may not get it right away....so if you are
paying tourist access might be best to keep it 3.6 long as possible....and I
think your browser has to match the world server or you may not be able to
change options, so you may need to keep a copy of 3.6 browser until the 4.1
world server comes out....just guessing though heh

If I have it right...3.6 world, 3.6 + 4.1 browsers can enter.....4.1 world,
only 4.1 can enter....but I may be wrong on this also

I am personally going to skip as long as possible for both the aw browser
and world server upgrades.

Just to let you know. Since my worlds are stuck in 3.6, I am running the 3.6
browser for AW.

because of the setting in 4.1 '
"Approve all Contact settings Disabled by default in settings



My name and others can be addeed to the contact lists in 4.1......
BUT....since I am running the 3.6 (like many others still) telegrams will
not be received from the 4.1 to the 3.6 browser.



Anyone needing help or wishing to talk to me has to be on the 3.6 browser. I
am not being a snob by not having answered any teleys you may have sent
through the 4.1

well people send teleys to me when I am offline or online....I could be gone
for weeks then pick up....

a lot of times these 3d superchats need regular defrags...often....

might give that a try (Full scan disk - My Computer....Right click C
drive...then ....Properties...Tools....scan/repair - takes awhile but really
finds problems, then a good defrag)

xp scans disk on crashing (if you let it) but using the Full system scan
does more. It is no longer at the Start Menu like 98. Not being able to find
it for awhile my computer got slower, froze, crashed few times a day until
someone told me how to find it in xp. Thanks to him my computer crashes and
freezes less, as I now full scan and defrag regularly. Takes forever but
seems to do the trick.

I do know that chats like SL needed many defrag. This new 4.1 sounds like it
may have the same problems

One thing I never thought I would see...Taurius in top ten on occupied
worlds list LMAO. ok ok there are only 13 occupied non private left.

Backups are made, all set to switch, but I am too scared to pull the plug.
So I sit here and watch it die.

Have been here in one form or another since it began so long ago. I have
decided to be here when it dies. Seems appropriate. Will worry about the
rest later. I have not even peeked at the 4.1 yet.

So for you that left I start this thread so you can also feel it go....

well to me seems like the kind of parties I usually try to avoid in real
life....been some upchucking, passing out, leaks in dark corners, some
missing in action and the servers had miserable entrées (paté de fois gras
anyone?)......

Sounds more like a rollercoaster (which scare the crap out of me) than a
train anyway LOL
