Can you see if you can reproduce this bug?
Copyed from Beta group topic light command bug Browser version 3.4 build 486 CPU = P2 350 Mhz Video = Voodoo5 5500 Video memory 64 MB RAM = 128 MB This can be reproduced in any world. It only dose this in Direct3D with T&L and Direct3D without T&L, the other video modes are fine. Make a sign5.rwx and put this on it. create light type=spot angle=90 pitch=90 color=white brightness=1 radius=10 Next put walls around that sign and you will see 2 colors shinning from that object. That second color that you did not specify changes as you change the real color you wanted. That second color is also the negative look of the real color you picked. if you want it white +Z side -Z side black white if you want it red +Z side -Z side light blue red if you want it yellow +Z side -Z side dark blue yellow if you want it green +Z side -Z side purple green if you want it violet +Z side -Z side dark green violet I put a copy of the bug in awschool at 24.50s 6.20w 0.00a 177 There are 6 box's there all set up with a sign5.rwx in them, each with a diff color. It only dose this in Direct3D with and without T&L Both colors are equal in brightness. Only the color to the right is the one that is to be there. The one on the left I have no idea why that is there, there are no other lights around and the world lighting and fog is all white and the fog is off. www.ladyd.us/dlbn/temp/l1.jpg www.ladyd.us/dlbn/temp/l2.jpg www.ladyd.us/dlbn/temp/l3.jpg www.ladyd.us/dlbn/temp/l4.jpg www.ladyd.us/dlbn/temp/l5.jpg www.ladyd.us/dlbn/temp/l6.jpg To all Voodoo users.May 10, 2003, 8:22pm
I know.
When I bought this Voodoo card there was no warning that they where going out of business, then about 3 months later they did :-( I want something that is AGP, supports T&L, and that is equal to or better then the Voodoo5 5500 card. Just for information purposes, here are the specs for the Voodoo5 5500 www.ladyd.us/dlbn/temp/voodoo5_1.jpg www.ladyd.us/dlbn/temp/voodoo5_2.jpg [View Quote] To all Voodoo users.May 10, 2003, 11:32pm
I'm just gona go out and get a new video card due to all these Voodoo only
bugs that probably will never be fixed. To save me the trouble of buying a new card, finding out it don't work right with AW, returning it and trying another one till I find one that works right wasting time and gas running around. I am asking for help on picking one out. I don't know all the video cards 3.4 was tested on that make AW run best with little or no (this card only bugs). So out of all the video cards on this site what would be the best one or ones for AW? I don't have any set price range, I will save up for what is needed. http://www.compgeeks.com/products.asp?cat=VCD If none of these are good please list all recomendations. Thanks for all input. I do know I want AGP full Direct X support full OpenGL support T&L support DVD support TV support And all or more of the same features the Voodoo5 5500 has. To all Voodoo users.May 11, 2003, 9:49am
What dose T&L stand for?
Just incase they use the full names and not shorten it by saying T&L. [View Quote] nomadMay 11, 2003, 10:26pm

is it possible to cut holes in objects using rwmodeler?
I know how to do this in true space, but true space can't open a rwx file, so I used AccuTrans to convert the rwx to a cob file so I could load it into true space and cut the hole. But when I do this, true space wont cut the hole in it saying. The object is not a solid. Can't do boolean operation. Change the relative positions of the objects or change the boolean precision. Any ideas? true space problemMay 27, 2003, 7:45am
primitivs?
to make a hole in true space all I do is create a second object and mold it to the shape of the hole I want, then I put it into the main object leaving some stick out on both sides then use the object subtraction tool removing the second object leaving a hole in the main object. to convert rwx to cob in AccuTrans I just open the rwx file then without doing anything to it, I resave it as a cob file then open that cob file in true space. Just as a check.
Check the time stamp on the aworld.exe and compare it with the time stamp of the elev.dat and a elev.idx on the C:/ Mine are the same creation date. They where different before due to the auto updates updating the aworld.exe But if you do a full uninstall and then a reinstall, all 3 files will have the same creation date. Well it is an old virus, this is just a remake of it, it changed and has new
features now. [View Quote] multipath.php helpJun 15, 2003, 12:02am
For some reason the multipath.php still dose not work, it stoped working
back in March 2003 and no one can seem to find out why. Was there an upgrade to teh php code that we need to know about? I do remember in teh past that it did this before and stoped working and I was told to change my " to ' to make it work again. Did they go back to " or changed it to something new? Here is the php the way it is now and it don't work. <?PHP $aPaths = array ('http://www.path1.com', 'http://www.path2.com', 'http://www.path3.com', 'http://www.path4.com'); $fIn=$fOut=$IsZip=0; // this block is only needed if AW examines the HTTP header! if ($Content = strrchr ($QUERY_STRING, '.')) { if (stristr ($Content, ".zip")) Header ("Content-Type: application/zip"); else Header ("Content-type: image/jpeg"); } $Namepos = strrpos ($QUERY_STRING, '/'); $Filepath = substr ($QUERY_STRING, 0, $Namepos+1); $Filename = substr ($QUERY_STRING, $Namepos+1); Header( "Content-Disposition: attachment; filename=".$Filename ); $Firsttry = -1; if ($Filename[0] == '~') { $Firsttry = intval (substr($Filename,1,2))-1; $Filename = substr($Filename, 3); if ($Firsttry >= 0) if ($fIn = at fopen ($aPaths[$Firsttry].$Filepath.$Filename, "rb")) { fpassthru ($fIn); // no fclose, fpassthru() closes the file exit; } } $Anz = sizeof ($aPaths); for ($i=0; $i<$Anz; $i++) if ($i != $Firsttry) if ($fIn = at fopen ($aPaths[$i].$Filepath.$Filename, "rb")) { fpassthru ($fIn); // no fclose, fpassthru() closes the file exit; } ?> multipath.php helpJun 15, 2003, 1:26am

hmm executes the script...
I wonder if this may be causing the problem. You now how you can set up the files accuses rights over the ftp, the CHMOD? I use to be able to do this but now it wont allow me to set the number to 777 or 555. Therefor the file only has read and write accuses or just read accuses, it wont seem to let me allow the thing to be executed. [View Quote] VirusJun 28, 2003, 9:28am
This virus didn't happen to be the W32/Sobig-E was it?
This is a new version of that virus discovered on Jun 25, 2003 It has the ability to read your address book, find the computer that the address belongs to, hack into there address book to get more emails and then sends itself out to those emails from your email without your knowledge. Your computer can be fully turned off and still some how it dose this. Cause I have got a warning message from my ISP saying that I sent a copy of that one out to 4 people and I was not even home and my computer was fully turned off at the time and date they told me it was sent out. address1 address2 address3 address4 only address1 was in my address book as it's a friend of mine. address2, address3, and address4 after calling the owner of address1 found out they where in the address book on their computer. I never received or sent anything to address2, address3, or address4 So this virus some how got info from my friends PC and game it to my PC to send itself out. Right after I got the warning from my ISP I looked into that virus and it was never on my computer at all in any way shape or form as there are not traces of it ever being on my computer.
