Honestely, who's going to believe they're going to make us download a new
version from a link in AWGate?
It didn't say open beta or anything, it straight up said 4.1 with larger
pixels (hint). They have a better method of sending updates out. ;)

Hello!
It's that time of the year again! AWNews is turning 6 and Support AW is 1!
Join us in Maya world, Saturday the 29th of April, to celebrate the
birthdays of AWNews and Support AW.
The following will be presented, beginning at 9PM VRT (open-world earlier):
-AWRADIO
-AWNEWS TRIVIA with prizes!
-SUPPORT AW AWARDS (An all new event!)
Support AW Awards?! That's right! We're trying a new event for the first
time, it's the first annual Support AW Awards!
For our first ceremony there are ten categories that cover a broad spectrum
of AW-related activities.
Think your AW-related creation is worthy of a SAW Award? A council will
choose the winners of the SAW Awards, and while we're aware of the most
popular things in AW we may miss some great builds and worlds. To ensure
your creation is considered, you can submit it on a form on the SAW Awards
web page, and learn more about the awards:
http://supportaw.com/s/awards_s.html
Don't forget, this whole event is the AWNews/Support AW Anniversary! Enjoy
AWRadio and a game of trivia before the Awards Ceremony begins.
This is a consolidated article for the AW newsgroups. You can view the full
article here:

Get in a delayed mindset. Things won't happen for a few seconds after you do
them. Although, I would hope the newer Macs don't have that delayed reaction

- I have a problem with closing the panels - the last one, such as chat or
tabs, to be closed leaves a white space the size of the former panel instead
of filling the area with the video content (sometimes leaves the white space
on the side opposite to where the tab was).
- Sometimes when adjusting panels or maximizing the AW window, the video
area goes whack for a second, or it'll stay that way until I adjust
something again.
Before and after shots for the above two problems - I removed the chat and
then tabs panel and then un-maximized ("Restore Down") the window (shots
sized 50%):

http://awmaki.com/mv/41after.jpg
- The program shortcuts such as Ctrl+F4 to turn the chat panel on and off
don't see to work. Should test this on my desktop, though.
- When in focus, AW pretty much consumes my processor as well (fluxuates
between 60-80% on aworld.exe but shows 100% usage total). This has happened
as long as I can remember though, and unlike some others who I've spoken to,
when I'm in a different window or minimized it stops using the processor at
full.

Could a filter be built right into the browser? Add a world features option
"Filter profanity" - could have a field for specific words so world owners
could choose what in particular is blocked/replaced.

I rarely make use of these privacy features and I certainly hope others
don't have to much either. I've also never used that question mark and agree
with Starheart that it's annoying. I don't think the point of being in AW is

I don't believe privacy options have to do with getting older and suddenly
realizing you need to block yourself off from everyone.
Regardless though, if there are only a few mean people why not block them
only? You can set the same privacy options for individual users. Not to make
it personal but in your case Color I can tell you hide your status for
everyone as it's always been hidden for me and I don't think you have
anything against me, as far as I know. :)

Yes exactly - in 3.6 I had a terribly long contacts list and whenever I'd
scroll down to see who was online I'd always disregard the ?s as though they
were just offline. I guess if those people don't want anyone to speak with
them, that's their choice!

Support AW is proud to announce an indepedent web site for the SAW Awards!
You can view the new web site at: http://sawards.com
Contains all of the information found on the former supportaw.com awards
pages and much more.
Nomination suggestions are open year-round, but you'll notice on the
Nominate page the form only allows Building nominations at this time. This
is not an error as the other categories will open up as we get closer to the
next ceremony.
Comments, suggestions, support: inworld at supportaw.com

Tested in IE and Mozilla but I tend to forget my IE7 is beta. :( Apparently
IE6 does not handle transparent PNG images - so all of the text header
images have been converted to GIF.
So if you use IE6 or earlier and noticed some unsightly gray backgrounds on
the headers, it's fixed now. :)

I like your points sweets and I agree that there should be a setting to
enable global chat without the use of some extra features.
Now I know some people may wish to talk in private so maybe a privacy option
could be added to override global chat or have a switch to take you off

Hello everyone :)
We think it's time for a new look on AWNews. Our Cover has been completely
rebuilt from scratch for a cleaner look and more intuitive layout.
The basis of the redesign is to give focus to the things most important on
AWN. There are still a few details we're working on to finish the change.
Give us a visit! http://awnews.org
We'd also like to announce that we're looking for a few new writers as well.
If you're interested in writing 2 articles (or column editions) per month,
your citizenship is on us! So look for details on http://awnews.org/team
Thanks and we hope you enjoy the new look!

Here's an AWI response about this...
"This was a bug in the new version that was fixed last week. Basically,
whenever someone tried to purchase an account and their credit card failed
it created an ID and then deleted it. Once deleted the system went to the
next number. This has now been fixed to work the same way as in 3.6."

I'm not sure about being in someone else's vehicle but I'm pretty sure if a

setup incorrectly.
I know I had trouble getting movers to work for the first few weeks until I
