First of all Wizard, I would love to see the statistics on your survey...how
many people took it...what was the question...and what were their choice
options for answers....where was this survey conducted...and what promtions
were done to get the majority of opinions?
Anyone who feels that AWCom, Inc. does not support the Community, might just
not know the facts:(
First of all, if it weren't for AWCom, The Cys would be lacking a world and
a server for their world and webspace. Heck, they would never had begun!
They would also be lacking support for advice and technical needs.
Now let's talk about AWSchool and AWUniversity. Same as the Cys regarding
support.
Then there is AWEC, AWComReg, and AWHS. Same support as the Cys again.
Oh, and AWTeen and Women's world.
AWBingo is also a recipient of their great support.
I believe the Avvys are also supported by AWCom, Inc.
There is also the program they have where they support 1 world idea a month
(found on their Community pages).
Then there's Roland's Tech Talk.
I could probably go on and on with tons more of FACT regarding AWCom's
Community support.
Those that feel AWCom doesn't support the Community may not see them hosting
most of the events, or may not be contacting them for the support, but rest
assured.....they are there:)
As with non virtual reality, most Community support is handled by the
Community, but supported by a foundation.
The folks at AWCom I feel have to keep their focus on keeping the company
growing in enhancements, etc. for us, and NEED to have the support of our
Community to assist others.
They are there for us, when we need them.
They support our Community:)

"How many of us can say "Today I helped a member" or "What can I do to help
the community".
........now THERE is a survey I would like to see the results on:)

In my days they would give a pin with 1 diamond on it for your first 300
game:)
I used to bowl on a league also, and totally enjoyed the physical exercise!
In fact....one year I bowled for the Jerry Lewis Telethon and played quite a
few games...raised a ton of money for the cause, but the amazing thing
was...after blistering my right fingers and heals, I removed my shows bowled
left handed barefoot and never had a game under 100! (Don't laugh...that was
a great acheivement for me)...:)

Before any of you run off to other universes, please check out all you get
for the $.
I heard today you get 4 10x10 tiles for that 50.00 and then it's 15.00 per
additional or something like that.
Could turn out to cost you more for the space you might need:(

Dear AW Community,

Weebette is in the hospital in a comma.
I'm not real sure of all the details. I think Capaboo or Weebo has more
information.
They have made a get well card site in AW at 10000n 11000e if you would
like to leave her a get well card.
Weebette has always been very active in the AW Community constantly
giving of her time and love to everyone.

Dear Gavroche,

I hope I'm not stepping out of line here, but here goes:)
From what I have seen here, punky feople has not chosen to wash dirty
laundry regarding OW out in this public forum. That tells me, he is a
respectable person. And leans towards "professionalism".
You say that this does not belong in a community forum. Well.....with my
future plans, I see a need for information like this to be given to our
community.
Someday, we will all be linked as "communities" be it through
Activeworlds Universes, or any 3d chat program.
It's sorta like this.....I live in a community in Austin Texas....which
is a part of a community in Texas....which is part of a community in the
United States...which is a part of a community on this great planet we call
earth...which is part of a community called a universe.
(I know...that's "reaching"...LOL)
I'm just trying to say that we are all part of one huge existance.
We are in the process of organizing a Universal awards which will (in
the beginning) incorporate all Activeworlds Universes, and later incorporate
all 3d chat environments including games.
These awards will be called The at lpha Awards, honoring my late husband
Alpha Phalpha.
The Cy Awards are Activeworlds Community Awards and will continue on in
the Activeworlds Community.
BTW.....we have a calender up for this years deadlines for The Cy Awards
at www.communityzero.com/cyawards .
We're not sure where the at lpha Awards will be held yet. I would like to
offer that to AWCom, Inc. first, as they have always been VERY supportive of
the Activeworlds Community Cy Awards. And we couldn't have asked for a more
wonderful and supportive group of folks to work with:)
To sum all this up........Let's all discover the possibilities:)

I dropped by Sunland last night and had the opportunity to meet with
Sonofsolaris.
Had a nice visit, and let him know about the technical plugin category
for the Cys.
I feel the need to say two things to two very nice people here.
Binary...you are stupendous in creating RoboBot. Alpha and I utilized it
alot, as many others did to cover land, build cards etc. I personally can't
thank you enough for RoboBot:) And the fact that you received a Cy Award for
it, shows just how much others appreciate it:)
Sunofsolaris...Binary is no God, nor claims to be. He is what I call
folks like him, an AW Master:)
An AW Master to me is someone who takes Activeworlds and creates
something to perfection. It can be textures, texture applications on models,
models, even the ability to help others. These Masters, know what they are
doing from the bottom up. For instance, HenrikG who can create a model in
notepad or with programs.
Anyways, what I'm leading to is......
IF Sonofsolaris has been using his knowledge in a negative way, why not
steer him to a positive creation?
I have seen many people in Activeworlds who come here and create things
that can be harmful. Once they find out that they can create something
spectacular, that the majority of the population truly appreciates, they
start growing towards the beginnings of becoming an AW Master.
Sonofsolaris, this is your opportunity:)
Create something we can all benefit from in a positive way, and who
knows? Perhaps we will see you on the stage receiving a prestigous Cy Award
this fall:)

btw.....either of you know why IE 6.02 would make my moniter go into standby
mode and go to a black screen?
When it does that, if I turn the monitor off then back on it's fine till I
click on another link.
And doesn't happen every time.
