If you go to Lara's object yard she has a clickable sign that will take you
to where they are.

Hate to see such a fun thing not happen:(
Have you asked them what all would be infringing on copywrites so that
you could do a variation that is legal?:)
Or perhaps offered free clickable link to a page where folks could
purchase the original at thier site?:)
Seems there should be something somehow that would allow you to have
something similar to thier great game?:)

Hi Everyone:)
I'm not sure how many of you know Clee. He is the Owner of Highland
World and is a past PK and Head of Security for The Cy Awards and
Coordinator of WAG. And most of all a Special Friend to many in AW:)
Well....Clee is in the hospital right now with a heart attack:( This
happened Friday night 5/12. He will be undergoing a quad bypass tomorrow
5/16.
He has given me his permission to post the Hospital address here and his
irl name if anyone wishes to send an irl card:)

His name is Chuck Davis and the following is the hospital address;

Kettering Ohio 45429

Im not sure of what room he will be in after the surgery...sorry:(

If you wish to leave an AW Card....we are starting a card site at 6663N

Ok...time for me to add some input on this matter...........
The Cy Statue has become a VERY loved object in Activeworlds Community.
Loved because what it represents:)
Also loved...because of it's beauty:)

I've been pondering on what to do about non earned Cy's showing up in
worlds.
So far...as they are reported to me..I visit World Owners who obligingly
remove them...thank you to all world owners who feel this way about the
prestigous Cy:)
I would love some input here from all of you on how this should be handled.
Here's some ideas Iv'e had.....

1.) A world found with an unearned Cy is reported to me...I go talk with the
World Owner...If they refuse to remove it..they make themselves and anyone
who is part of thier world community ineligible in the future of ever
receiving one?

2.) We tag the Statue with a sign that says something like " For
Authentication please visit www.awcommunity.org/cyawards"

3.) We allow it to be a building object and used freely and use the
"Special" Statues as all Cys by category?

4.) Make sure the Community is aware of the unearned Cy and let them speak
to the world owner?.....One at a time........:)

3.) We plant a bomb in it and if it's placed unearned it blows up?:)

It's really hard to take something so loved from the Community...because the
Community is what makes the Cys happen:)
Please.....please post some suggestions here:)

The Statue is copywrit in the fact that Raven Shadow was awarded a Cy Award
for Excellence in Creative Vision and Application
in the category of:
Object Design/Texture Application
on June 5th 1999 for all of his Statues he created and donated to our
Community.

P.S. I don't think it is AWCom, Inc.'s responsibility...I think it is ours
as a Community to deal with this.

Excuse me.....but all of the folks on the Cy Committee have no more powers
in aw prime and its sister worlds then you or I:)
Now please....know the people on the Cy Comittee as people who give of thier
time from the kindness of thier hearts and thier love for all of you
......nothing more.
Anyone ever applying to serve the Community on this Comittee that shows that
"power" is thier driving force behind belonging......are simply not
accepted:)
Please help to dispell this rumor immediately.

Dear AW Friends,

Thank you all for all your support and comforting. It has helped me thru
alot of days.

I will be throwing a wake for Alpha on December 9th at 7 PM VRT in WildAW
at 56N 27W facing west and you are all invited.

I know alot of you didn't know Alpha, he was the behind the scenes techy of
our PC's. But those of you that wish to share any memories you do have of
him, we will have a time to do that at the wake:)

Awards, this accusation will be investigated prior to the June/July
Nominations for the September Ceremony voting process.

Rule4.) No plagiarism We have a rules committee that will investigate
accusations and if found to have happened, your entry will be disqualified.
All accusations must be brought to the attention of the Rules Committee
prior to the commencement of voting.

Dear Activeworlds Community,

AWEC hosts many events and runs a calendar full of events that other
citizens run!
In the month of January, there are many events such as AWCC's 2nd Birthday
or Poets Corner or event Weekly Trekker's Trivia!
Every month seems to hold a holiday that would stir ideas for parties,
contests, and events. We are hoping to hold such events for every month of
the calendar year!
We know that alot of you folks will also be planning some fantastic events
and hope you will contact us so we can add them to our calendar to give your
event even more exposure and participation.

Well I tell ya guy.....Here's some upcoming plans;

1.) We are attempting to get the word out to alot of folks about what the
AWEC Calendar is all about, and what it can to do help their event
attendance.
2.) We are attempting to host an event monthly, coinciding with holidays
that occur each month.
3.) We would like to sometime in the future offer mini tutorials on what all
is available media wise for folks wishing to up their attendance at events.
4.) We are offering a weekly poetry reading session which I've posted in
here for folks wishing to participate:)

Well.....I recon I'll add my 2 cents here.
When I first came to AW.....I discovered the ngs and thought...oh cool!
Another way to learn and share.
I asked Alpha what they were all about, and he insisted I not go to them.
Soooo...of course I asked..."why?"
He said....."Honey...those people will tear you apart...you will be
flamed...and you will be hurt"
You folks know me....I didn't take his advice:)
In my first posts...I did get flamed.....it hurt...yes...but I just couldn't
stay out of here.Because there were alot of folks offering a ton of info
that I could apply to my learning experiance in AW.
I know of some "AW Masters" who used to offer their knowledge in here,
leaving also because of flame wars.
Someone said without certain individuals in here it would be boring.....I
prefer to state it as..."with flaming under control...it's possible the ngs
will once again become a place to share and learn"
Eep...you have a ton of stuff to offer us here with your knowledge and
background. I implore you to put it behind you and do what is needed so we
can pick that fantastic brain of yours again:)

No problems to report.
I think the settings for how much security a person wants might be causing
the problems for others?
Also...I use Xitami Server software.
Currently running my worlds off Sprint Wireless Connectivity, but have been
on Road Runner prior to that.

Thank you very much for the stupendous explanation of what's and why's of
3.1 questions.
I agree with you....this is bestest upgrade I have seen since my first visit
to AW over 3 years ago!:)
I can't wait to get A'A back up and add BitMaster flying from a cannon!...a
rotating realistic carousel!...The Phlying Phalpha's actually doing a
trapeze act!....CCTech making those stubborn lions jump through hoops!...and
even Jumbo will now march proudly in his center ring.....hmmm...maybe one of
the ballerina clowns can even do stunts on his back!
And what all of this new stuff can add to the ambience of the CyAwards
World!......Wooooohooooo!

Dear Myssie,

Having been a world owner with dear friends who had built in worlds in
which we lost, I fully understand the hurt it can cause. I don't like to use
the word "victimized" as it's a pretty strong negative word, and seems is
used pretty often now a days, and maybe the boy who cried wolf tale enters
my mind each time anymore;)
Let's see...so far A'A has had a flood...(Alpha just had to try out the
new bmwater.rwx...LOL)...an earthquake...(That one was me and my
misunderstanding of prop dump and load)....there were a few others...I can't
remember as they were definate TRADGEDIES....right A'A clan?:)
Anyway....did I get a "bit" off topic there?
Oh....yes....so...in regards to your question....
My approach on this would be to first speak to the builders and let them
know that things were going to be changing. However...circumstances come
into play sometimes. For instance....(rhetorical questions here)...Do I have
a builder that is unapproachable? Do I have a builder that would talk about
me negatively if I let them know and they said I couldn't do it because it
would DEVISTATE them? (spelling)
Because of the past world stability problems, I now have folks create in
A'A that fully understand that she's an everchanging world, and one's that
see (visions) of greater builds with each fantastic version AWCom, Inc.
creates and releases:)

We wish to appologize for the past month that the AWEC Calendar has been
inactive. Let's call it "a tornado came thru" or something:)
Anyways....just wanted to let you know that AWEC is back and stronger
than ever!
IHNK and coryashire have joined us as World Events Coordinators!
They will be visiting worlds and finding out if any upcoming events are
planned, and also assisting world owners with ideas for events.
This will be a great opportunity for you not only to run some ideas past
some very skilled activities coordinators, but also to find out how you can
promo them thru our AWEC Calendar.
If you already have some events planned, please visit our website at

To give you an idea of what kind of exposure the calendar can have for
your events.....we have upwards to 1000 hits per month from folks looking
