Well, then mind your typos and don't mention a competitor's universe.

Perhaps not, but Rick runs his business in the manner he sees as best for
Active Worlds.
That's why there are hundreds of other worlds besides The Gate to hang out

And bring back the sun in The Gate!!! It's depressing in there.
And btw, when is The Gate ever gonna be remodeled? We need more color in
there. Bright, sunny colors. A new GZ floor would be nice. Maybe a coffee
bar, too. And what's up with same 'ol tired tourist avatars?? At least make
them more stylin'. Cargo pants on the male and capris on the female. I was
thinking a new Tport area for the tourists, too. Make the textures pulsate
to grab their attention away from the GZ. Since there's no longer a force
field at the landing spot to bounce them over a bit, tourists stack up there
like some freakish totem pole. It's creeping me out. And another thing
............. !!!!!

I'm not saying that at all, but *some* of the suggestions are starting some
rather heated arguments.
Ask Uncle Enzo to put out (yet another) poll to see what the majority of the
Cits want. If enough ppl want something in particular done with Alpha World
THEN maybe Enzo will take notice.
But when all is said and done, Rick and JP still own AW.
That's my feedback. ; )

Oh, COOL!!! tytytyty
I usually just buzz around AW until I see a mask I like and Pilfer & Paste
it.
Also - this sure answered a bothersome question for me. I always wondered
why this was so....
Other Stuff you should Note
Masks don't seem to work well with some animated textures since it only
places the mask on one frame of the animation. If you try create texture
ocean4 mask=awd4m you will see that the transparency is only put on the
first frame of the ocean4 texture. Although, there are a few exceptions. The
flame1m mask, which is already animated to begin with, can be applied to
animated textures.
TY!!!

Ummmmm.......... Actually, Marnie asked
"Is there a list of codes you can use for masks..."
So primarily she wanted masks, but she asked for their codes.
This is either a masked question or a coded question.
Or she masked this question in code.
Or did she code this question inside a mask?

Bum deal. What was the story?
Mar 9, 2005, 2:29pm
The word bastard can mean a child of illegitmate birth and in that context
is perfectly G rated.
However, you used the word bastard to slander another citizen in The Gate,
and that is not G rated and not acceptable conduct in a G rated world such
as The Gate.
Furthermore, you continued to argue the fact with the GK on duty, knowing
you would start a debate and/or a fight amongest the other ppl in The Gate
and that is also unacceptable behavior in The Gate.
The mere fact that you stated below that it was fun being ejected shows a
total lack of respect for the guidelines, the GK on duty and the G rating of
The Gate. There are plenty of other worlds in AW with a more lax code of
conduct if all you want to do is cuss, argue and harrass ppl. The Gate is
where newcomers first come to learn how to use the program. It has evolved,
yes, into a place where regulars like to congregate with friends, meet new
friends, chat and joke around with the tourists, but the basic function of
The Gate remains the same, and it is G rated.

I think the beginning of the end for CY is when AW's servers were so messed
up for so long. Nobody could vote.
Emailing votes was probably confusing to some.
Personally, I'm not sorry to see it end. Seems to me there was more fighting
about who "should of" won and accusations of "voter fraud" than there was a
celebration of truely marvelous and imaginative builds.
I don't like contests in the first place. I don't think anybody should be
made to feel they "lost out" to a better builder. Perhaps there could be a
Tport spot somewhere in AW where ppl could enter coords to a build they are
proud of? Or maybe somebody else could organize an award contest similar to
CY for those who look forward to that type of contest every year? I'm sure
somebody will come up with something.

I just remembered this, reading Lady Barbara's post. Every once in awhile

AW is the only world in which this happens. I won't be able to click on
