It's mainly because of the price hikes and the disabled tourist building in
Alphaworld. People are still dropping out right now because the prices are
just too high. I have given up building in small towns these days because I
know they are going to die withen the next week. With no tourist building
in AW, and with everyone having to pay 350% the price they used to pay for
AW, everything is dying out. AW is just not nearly as fun as it used to be.

Of course E N Z O, being the wonderful buisnessman that he is, won't even
consider changing anything back the way it used to be, not even tourist
building in AW :P I bet if he even reads this post, he'll just ignore it, or
stick on some lame joke, or an illogical excuse to why he is managing AW the
way he is.

yeah, I just made another thread asking E N Z O what he thinks he should do
to improve the AW community, and he sure hasn't replied with any ideas, nor
has anyone else at that matter. I've talked with a lot of people, (people
who left AW because of prices) and most of them are willing to pay double
the origional price, but not 350% the origional price. world prices are
disgusting as people can't even buy worlds anymore just to have fun.
whatever happened to trial cits and worlds? that system is another thing
that made me want to immigrate. Now people can't even see what it's like
without giving out personal info that they are not even sure they want
active worlds to have.

Do you have any ideas on what different things could be done to help bring
the AW community back? It has been diminishing continually since early
2002. I sure hope you will reply to this post with several ideas of yours
of could be done to save AW.

note: This post is mainly directed towards Rick himself, as I am interested
in the ideas he has to improve the community, but if anyone else has any
ideas of their own, please reply to this thread. Though I highly doubt that
Rick will make any sensible reply to this, maybe in a blue moon Rick might
actually listen to what you have to say.

This whole thread is a joke. MrBruce, if you see ANY thread that is
defaming to your world, the best thing to do is not to make any reply
whatsoever. All flame wars die out eventually, and knowing that these are
the NGs, are not really taken as a big deal anymore.

Though this happened a few days ago, I thought I should just bring it up in
the NGs. (for those who don't know, special commands were enabled in
alphaworld) I also heard that special commands were temporarily turned off
today, then turned back on again.. maybe AWI's having trouble making
decisions ;) here's what I have to say, keep them on!!! Lots of people have
been waiting for special commands since the release of AW 3.1, don't turn
them off now!

Every year AWI did something in Alphaworld to give it a christmas theme,
except for last year >,< do you think it could happen this year? simple
things like a festive winter skybox and a snow ground, maybe decorate the GZ
or something

are christian or not. it's just been commercialized so much that it becomes
"holidays" as to not offend anyone by the mention of a christian tradition.

C P just told me that it's wrongful for me to say Christmas specifically. I
told him to shut up because he told me to shut up about my faith. And
anyway, nobody is fooling anyone here, the "holiday spirit" that everyone
talks about IS christmas. That's what just about everyone is preparing for.
It's really too bad how a lot of people are like these days. They want all
the presents, and the fluff of christmas, but they don't want Christ. It is
okay if you are non-christian to say "holiday spirit", but it is wrongful to
tell someone to renounce their christian beliefs (I.E. saying "merry
christmas) simply because there are people who exist in the world who aren't
christian.

Nobody was being excluded when I said "christmas". If you are another
religion, proudly state whatever you like to celebrate at this time. Since
I am catholic, I will say "christmas". It isn't my duty to list every
religion in the book simply because I don't want to offend anyone. And
please say Christmas, not xmas. And where are you quoting "convert" from? I
never said that.

I am not obligated to mention any other religion. I am Christian, I will
celebrate christmas. It is up to the people of other religions to express
their needs. It is not horrid nor is it boggotist to decorate a world for
Christmas. If other religions are so offended by Christmas, then they can
leave. But, I don't think we will be having that problem.

she is asking what dimensions will perfectly fit in the objects pict1.rwx
pict2.rwx pict3.rwx pict4.rwx they are not perfect squares, therefore the
resolutions you gave, would force the picture to "stretch" to fit the
dimensions of the object. lady nighthawk wants to know the dimensions used
on the pict objects, not how to make square pictures.

it's normal, large, and huge, I highly recommend that alphaworld raise their
cell limit to large. it's not like AWTeen where there are lots of
complicated (and laggy for some) objects. I really doubt that people are
going to be lagged out by a large cell limit, they seem to be doing fine in
AWTeen.
