You would probably need a dedicated server yeah, though a linux one would be
the best way to go, make a c/c++ app and compile it there for stability. To
communicate between them I would suggest an AW type system where the client
corrects the server if there is lag. It helps with 56k users but eather way
works. You just have to communicate the position and all other relative
information to the server so it can report it to the other clients and they
can see you on screen. I wont pretend to be an expert in this area but ive
got a pretty good idea (The client/server stuff, the last time I messed with
DirectX my screen looked like a hippie van.).

Heres the trouble. My VB6 bot (Xe Bot) has run on AwSdk2 and was built
as such. Today I decided to peel myself from laziness and updated to
AwSdk3, but when I replaced the AwSdk2 with AwSdk3 in the form and tried
to connect to the universe it couldn't initialize the sdk.

Error: RC_VERSION_MISMATCH (454)

I have no idea why this happens, and replacing AW_BUILD with 39 worked,
but then again after connection nothing worked.

' Initialize SDK
rc = frmMain.sdk.aw_init(AW_BUILD)

Any ideas?

There is currently a trojan going around, a supposed "Terrain bot" that is
from terbot.0catch.com. I was infected with it and the little #$%^& used my
acct and ftp server to distrobute another version of it called VWTViewer. If
you see eather one DO NOT DOWNLOAD THEM. VWTViewer i have deleted and have
changed all of my passwords, but DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES download
these. They are a real #$%^& to remove.

Unfortunatly, AW doesnt provide that much emphasis on tourists, and still
hasnt fixed a glitch with tourists on PS.

Look, shit, fuck, damn, whore, bitch etc. are a some of the words banned in
AWGate. Why? We as GKs must keep kids unexposed to this kind of fowl manner.
Imagine, a 9 year old going around and saying "Hey shithead! Whats up?" if
they are lead to believe profanity is OK to use in normal places, then they
will start using it. I can only imagine how a parent would feel if their kid
went around cussing. Their most likly responces would be to feel like they
arnt being good parents, to have self doubt in their ways. It is EASY to not
give yet another avenue of learning profanity to children. You may say "But
its on TV ALL THE TIME" but that is their problem. Not ours. If you say,
what the hell. Theres enough places already, yes there might be, but lets
keep ActiveWorlds off that list. While GKing i am suprised at the number of
mature adults ive known to just waltz in there and cuss their head off
getting themselves ejected by me or CA. Kids dont need to be exposed to
profanity here. Ive known kids on aw as young as SEVEN, 7, Siete. I know how
it feels, i use profanity in every day discussion, but i DO refrain in
AWGate. So, execise some goddamn self control and stop cussing in AWGate.

I for one, did not know of AWI leaving you out in NL or deleting your
world of the month votes. If you spend that kind of money at a place based
on the computer for something added in 10 seconds easily, and you are not
given credit and put down by the company you pay out to...then i cannot
blame you for leaving. A!!CT is a nice world without the credit it deserves.
Before you let everyone wreak havok on it, save all of the settings and land
as you never know, AWI might get smart. Once they notice a 5000/year drop in
their profits, i think they might rethink their situation.

Honestly, you helped AW stay alive for a bit longer before it plunges
into nowhere with its raise prices, and lowering usercounts. Not only that,
but A!!CT was a Star Trek themed world and im a Star Trek fan...if you think
A!!CT should stay alive, then MrBruce should open a place for people to
contribute to a renewal. I know i'd donate atleast $100. If you had asked me
last week if i would have, then it would have been no, but after hearing
about how hes been treated here, i can see how i have made an error.

Not everyone can pay 70 dollars. Anyways i sent a telegram about why they're
losing money and how they could fix it, but should I expect him to anything

You want to know the real reason AW is dying? You keep hiking the prices of
citizenships and worlds. If you made both cheaper, then there would be a
flood of new users and worlds. Once new 3d Chat applications like this come
out 100x100 coordinates will be a joke. Every time i have GK duty I see more
and more citizens leaving AW on account of the prices. EVERY single time.
Usually 2 or 3 leave. Only thing keeping AW out of the garbage can is
tourists sticking around and possibly buying citizenships in the future. A
reasonable price for a citizenship would be 20-40/year. Like the old times
when there were 1000 users on here at once. Take my advice, try lowering
prices. You may loose a few dollars at first, but then the investment will
come though and make more money than before.
