If they were testing something they'd do it in a different world.

An Unofficial Alphaworld Poll

Jul 18, 2003, 9:40pm
1) I'm not gonna be picky, whatever is added is great for me
2) Let's just keep it going RWX :)
3) Cloud layers, sun, heck ya!
4) Revamped..no need to preserve it as there is a world (AWGZ) that has
a preservation of the Alphaworld GZ..it should definitely be updated
5) Well if they give us new objects, I'm all for it :)
6) Again, if they give us more sounds I'm for it :) I think it would
improve the variety of stuff you hear if added

The strife going on these newsgroups all the time is really ridiculous
....I don't really read the NGs anymore because of it.

I suppose there's no need to make simple annoucements here either since
that seems to trigger some sort of mad flame war.

Disappointing.

add some moving clouds ..
put a sun corona in there...
please, please, please ..put a skybox or sky colors in ..all backdrops
mess up for me and it really ruins the asthetics of it all ..and besides
which ..I can only stare at those mountains for so long before wanting a
change lol

there ya go ...those are the features ..well ..the features I want anyway

Rate Active Worlds (the universe we are in now and the software we use) on a scale 1-100. (100 is best)

Nov 18, 2003, 1:49am
85% B - Overall (not an average)
Generally, AW is a good experience for me and I enjoy being a member of
the community. :)

85% B - Customer Service
Support and other email addresses sometimes do not reply :(

69% D - Pricing Value
World prices are a bit too high, citizenship prices are a bit high but
could be lowered to increase the size of the community ...pricing really
negatively impacted the size of AW's community

91% A - Entertainment Value
I enjoy coming on AW :) however a few more features could be added to
make AW better

79% C - New Customer Relations
AWGate & AWNewbie policies need to be improved, may discourage new
tourists from registering ...deletion of tourist builds in AWNewbie at
least needs to be removed to make a better impact on tourists'
experience...citizens need to be discouraged from causing problems as
they discourage tourists from registering

87% B - Software Development
New features seem to be being added at an OK pace compared to other
products I'm familiar with

100% A - Service Reliability
AW has rarely gone off for me for more than a few minutes

80% B - Abuse Prevention
new features like telegram blocking, etc. have made dealing with abuse
much easier, however AW needs to take more steps in this area as many
customers are disruptive often discouraging new customers to join

100% A - Professionalism
AW staff have always been professional to me and AW's website is
attractive and nice to look at

92% A - Technology
AW is based on mid-1990s technology however is holding up well ..not as
impressive as top-of-the-line games but very interactive..lots of neat
features promised

100% A - Lasting Value
I've been on AW for quite a while and have no plans to leave anytime
soon ..as long as new features are being added, of course! :)

There ya go ..my review of AW

object path passwords cracked

Nov 28, 2003, 10:21pm
[View Quote] I did not receive a reply like the one here when I emailed Mr. Hoover
over e-mails I received that were defaming his name. The persons who
sent me the e-mails WERE spoofing the return address. I highly doubt
that any employee of AWI would be that unprofessional.

Ryan

OK, I feel this is necessary to avoid mass hysteria among fools

Nov 28, 2003, 10:45pm
You need to check the headers of an email message to see who it was from
.... if you get something suspicious forward it to abuse at activeworlds.com
(don't reply to the suspicious email) and I assure you the REAL Bill
Hoover will answer :)

Check and see if the headers have anything to do with Netfirms ...that's
one service that is being abused ...
