You mean "huggy bear" from Starsky and Hutch?? :o) I can see that!!
with a fur coat, feather hat and cane!!! lol You'd need a pet iguana though... in the movie they have him with a pet iquana. I didn't care for the movie that much. They made it into too much of a silly comedy instead of like the original tv series. This guy that I work with looks almost exactly like Rick. Very uncanny
resemblence.. although this guy is a bit huskier. The smile is almost exact though. He got transferred to my store a few months ago and I was amazed at how much he looks like him. heh [View Quote] > lol at E N Z O Out, makin fun of America's favorite metro...Then again you > happen to look a bit like Clay Aiken, spelt that right? Looks like it will be a great contest sexy eyes, I know a few people
were asking me a bit ago if there were any building contests going on. I'll let them know about this one!! :o) [View Quote] New ObjectsSep 13, 2004, 1:06am
Daphne had been working on getting the new objects approved for a while.
She was the main one working very hard to get them together for AWI. It came to a stop when she had passed on. Andras had picked it up and got it going again. So it HAD been worked on for some time.. it's just now being uploaded. Lara also won a prize to pick a few objects to be added as well and tunablues and dreamer had pitched in also. It just takes AWI some time because the registry has to be updated as well and they are also working on a junkload of other things as well. So it has been being worked on for quite some time CP... it just takes time!!! lol :o) [View Quote] > Now WHY? exactly does aw not accept more objects! it saves them work...they > don't need to make more, and clearly its win win... [View Quote] New ObjectsSep 13, 2004, 2:03am
It still takes time. Andras and a few others had to get objects to meet
certain specs for Alpha as well. AWI has to upload the objects to the path themselves whereas in AWTeen, the CT can upload them and just email AWI the new registry. Along with the many other jobs and tasks that they have to do, things still take time, even if it is smaller than AWTeen's. [View Quote] > It took AWI overnight to update the registry for AWTeen which had been > requested the previous night. Surely they can be as efficient with Alpha > World > [View Quote] New ObjectsSep 13, 2004, 3:20am
I don't know how they are with uploading new things to Alpha but I do
know they like it to work out right the first time since Alpha is the largest world and pretty much the heart of AW. I think it would be nice to get additions more often as well as the next. All I know is that Daph had been working on them for a while to get them ready and it was put to a halt when she had passed on. It just now got finished since Andras picked up where she left off and with help from a few others. I agree though on what you said at the bottom, it would be neat if some other objects from other worlds could be added as well. I'm happy that they got the new objects that they did though. :o) [View Quote] > And what if the lines of registry were included with the donation? I know > one case where it was, and it was still ignored. > They've had...*counts it*...32 months now since the last object addition. > Ever crappy old freeware gets updated more frequently than that :P > > On top of accepting object donations on a regular basis, they could add > already existing objects that AWI from other worlds that they own (some of > which are either long abandoned or gone), > > [View Quote] New ObjectsSep 13, 2004, 6:44am
Huh? I never said that any objects have "vanished" or that any AWI world
hasn't remained intact. ;) [View Quote] For Kellie WilliamsSep 28, 2004, 10:43pm
Kellie is a valuable member of the community and a valuable employee in
mine and a lot of the community's eyes. It's sad that this is how her hard work was treated and that this is how it ended up. She worked very hard to keep everything going and was very understanding when it came to requests and the sort, despite it taking a bit of time to respond. This is a big mistake. :( [View Quote] I expire October 13th, a few final words to all my friends...Oct 11, 2004, 2:07am

LOL it's ok Bowen, this is his normal behavior. Just him believing
he's the center of the world again. Thanks for the great post LNH!! I just found out the other day as well.. he was a wonderful actor and it is disappointing that such a tragedy with his paralyzation and recent death had to happen to such a great person. My sympathies are with his family and friends :) [View Quote] O/T *Superman* dies...Oct 12, 2004, 3:31am
LOL how uncomfortable it must be to have a stick that far up your
butt!!! :P Let alone having your facts all backwards. This is coming from a man who coaxes his girlfriend's little nephew to badger others in threads for silly reasons. Talk about putting your tail between your legs and wimpering away!!! LOL You had a kid fight your battles... and over something silly too, let alone teaching a kid the wrong things. Drive though ;P Keep harassment out of the ng's. IT doesn't belong here. LNH's post had nothing to do with YOU and wasn't hurting anyone. [View Quote] O/T *Superman* dies...Oct 12, 2004, 6:37am

I am in need of a reliable citizen or two to give occasional lessons on
how to use truespace 3.0 or higher in AWUniversity since I am running low on instructors for this course. Since truespace is used by several but not applied for often, anyone who applies will probably only get a student about at a rate of 1 or 2 per month, maybe not even that much, so it wouldn't be much of a burden or too hectic as some courses can be. If you feel you are able to take on the job, please send in an application using http://awcommunity.org/awu/awuapp.htm Any help would be appreciated :) Thanks everyone! Elyk truespace geniuses neededNov 9, 2004, 2:55am
Not at the moment, no. I'd have to gather up teachers for that subject
in order to give lessons on it (which I may do within the next few months if some are interested in teaching it) but I'm running low on my instructors for the Truespace classes at this point and there have been several students wanting to take it and I don't like just giving it all to one person and completely swamping them with lessons to give heh. GROW > UP, SPYDER! > > AWTeen EjectionNov 23, 2004, 6:26am
and if there was a reason, it should be logged and sent to all of the
caretakers of a world, so for one, no CT would be left in the dark as to why an eject was issued and also, in a case like this, where there is a complaint, the caretakers will have info to present and back themselves up as to why a person was ejected. [View Quote] > I think the whole point of this thread was because there wasn't a reason :P > > > > > HELP!!!Dec 8, 2004, 7:28pm
I had this happen to me a while back and I still could not get the tabs
to drop down even when I restarted. Plus I couldn't get my screen to expand and minimize to where I had it before. I just saved my telegram.idx and my contacts cache files and just redownloaded the browser from the site and then just placed those files back into the aw folder. That fixed it. I don't understand what the deal was there. heh. [View Quote] DayBot??Jan 9, 2005, 1:14am
That is the new bot that has been created to automatically change the
sky in the world from day to night within a period of time to give the world a more realistic feel rather than changing the skybox everyday by hand. I believe it runs on a timer of some sort, which is why from time to time, you see the sky fade and change gradually from night to day or day to afternoon, then night, etc. instead of it changing instantly to a different background as it would if you were to change the skybox by hand. [View Quote] > What's that all about in The Gate? > > TS > > tech tallkJan 10, 2005, 7:18pm
I don't believe they hold techtalk anymore. At least not recently. It
used to be in "AWUniv" world when Roland was the lead programmer and then moved on to "TechTalk" world after. I had talked to chrispeg to see if he wanted to do something like that, but he said he'd have to wait and see, as it is not his call. Hopefully another one can start up in the future, as a lot of people gathered to attend the meetings. :) [View Quote] > Can someone answer my qustion?, where do they hold the tech talk, vrt time & > day > > Video/Picture tour of AWI OfficesJan 12, 2005, 7:27pm

what the URL was again. He took pics I'm guessing with his digital cam all over the office. [View Quote] |
