Hi, You might try sending yourself a gram a few times and then click back
on the other gram that hasn't come through yet.. i get late grams quite a
lot. There's a lot of us using the same server.

I spoke to David Bowie a few years back about Active Worlds. Expressed how
I thought it'd be a good business decision and tried to persuade him to
purchase a world, galaxy, uni ..... He decided to go to Worlds at
http://www.worlds.net/ . I think it was because of the naughty teens in
AW.

*laughing here* and I agree.... I don't care who thinks this or that about
what I apologized for.. since no one seems to read what's really being said
much at all. I certainly didn't apologize for my feelings about how the
CY's are being handled. These kids think all they have to do is come up and
twist things around in the NGs or in public. They can be vicious and nasty.

When I wasn't responding by posting to the NGs I was being harassed at the
gate being called vulgar names by RossyBoy and others.. he'd go to the gate
and say things like "ORB IS A FUCKING BITCH' and get ejected..then come
back and do it all over again... if it wasn't him it was Strike or Gnu or
one of their minions LOL .. sooooo now you know the rest of the story. I
dont' bow down and give in just because some twit twists reality. Frankly
CY's are more meaningless now than ever. Oh but I plan on getting attacked
as soon as I'm at the Gate by one of them LOL ! What a bunch of assholes.

There should have been elections .. if it's a community oganization the
community should have had a chance to be involved in deciding who is right
for the position. This was all done without anyone prior knowledge to
inform those who do care about what this committee represents. Mark isn't
right for the position. His past record of how he handles things in the
NewsGroups and other public places such as the Gate are good enough examples
of why he's not right for the position.

getting so annoyed with this whole path of how things are going with this CY
deal.

I agree that Strike working hard at the project is a nice gesture on his
part. There are lots of other people willing to work hard too though as he
found out when putting the teams together. Also, it's not who's "in charge"
of the project that matters... it's the project that ought to be the center
of everyone's attention. Seems that power really go to people's heads and
no one wants to be supportive when something so important such as an award
in AW turns into a dictatorship.

Make it as fair and just for all participants as humanly possible... the
members of the CY team, and the public. Why oh why does that seem so tough?
The Emmys, Grammys, and Oscars seem to be successfully put together. Should
they be renamed the EGO Awards?

I don't mean just in Alpha World.. I think they ought to be able to move
freely about in all worlds to TOUR. Not to build. If world owners should
be charged a fee then it should only be applied to tourists that want to
build. Tourists put a little chaos in the order, we realize that, and it's
enough to bring life and balance to the sterility we have about us now.

Citizens and world owners by the numbers are getting disenchanted by costs
put on them and by the lack of visitors. With the costs connected in owning
and maintaining worlds it seems there ought to be some compromise. People
see the barren surroundings, void of life and lose their interest quickly.
Should the customers go away soured by AW or just go away?

As the cost of living is rapidly on the rise { ie: oil , gas }there needs to
be some relief .

AWI, Please let us have the tourists tour freely once again.

What I am meaning is more about having the free tourism back so world owners
want to stay and keep their worlds... not necessarily about having new
people who want to buy cits. There's quite a few world owners ready to give
up their worlds. Those who get worlds rarely keep them for very long
because of the lack of visitors. Being charged extra to have tourists visit
is NOT the answer. AND AW IS PRACTICALLY BARREN OF ANYTHING REMOTELY
RESEMBLING LIFE !

If you do not own a world, and can only relate to what you do at the gate,
maybe you need to not worry so much about solving this problem. Especially
since you seem to be unable to understand the feelings of world owners whom
are responsible for a huge percent of the income of AWI.

AW is going downhill and 4.1 wont' save it. They need to backtrack and
regroup where tourists are concerned. This is not a programming problem so
there is no need to worry over backwards compatibility.
