E N Z O was at AWGate a few weeks back and had said that he has 3.5 . So
I'm sure they are testing. With all of the suggestions from the community for improvements and new features in the program it's no wonder =) ORB [View Quote] Everythings changed and should work but 1 minor problem that I need help with please:)Aug 28, 2003, 2:33pm
=== Installing Third Party Video Card ===
To install a new video card, you have to first disable the onboard video. To disable the factory-installed component, follow these steps: 1. Right-click My Computer and select Properties. 2. Select the Device Manager tab. 3. Scroll to the desired device category like Display Adapters. 4. Click the plus (+) sign to expand the list. 5. Double-click the item. 6. Select the "Disable in this Hardware Profile" option or deselect the "Exists in All Hardware Profiles" option. 7. Click OK and then click OK again. 8. Shut down the computer. This will disable the onboard video card. Now, install the new video card by following these steps: 1. Open the system and place the new video card in the slot provided. 2. Unplug the monitor from its current position and connect it to the new VGA port. 3. Start the computer. CAUTION: The steps to install the display adapter involve registry modifications. A registry backup is essential. An incorrect registry entry may cause serious system problems or prevent the computer from starting. You will not be warned of any incorrect registry entries. If the registry is not backed up,the only way to recover the system is by reinstalling the operating system. Please follow the steps listed below to back up your registry: 1. Click Start and then click Run. 2. Type REGEDIT in the Open field and click OK. 3. Click "Registry" in the menu. 4. Click "Export Registry" from the drop-down menu. 5. Click the down arrow beside "Save In" and select Local Disk (C:). 6. Type BACKUP.REG in the File Name field. 6. Verify that the "All" radio button under the "Export Range" is selected. 7. Click Save. To install the display adapter, follow these steps: 1. Right-click the desktop, click Properties to view the display properties, and then click the Settings tab. 2. Click the Advanced button and then click the Adapter tab. 3. Click Change and change the adapter to a Standard VGA card. It does not matter if you do not select PCI. NOTE: Do not restart the computer even if you are prompted. 4. Open Windows Explorer and go to the "C:\Windows\Inf\Other" directory. 5. Delete all INF files relating to video cards. NOTE: There may be other INF files for sound cards and other peripherals. Remove only the INF files related to video cards. 6. Go back to the "C:\Windows\Inf" folder. Delete the drvdata.bin and drvidx.bin files if they exist. 7. Click the Start button, select Run, and type regedit. 8. Click the plus (+) sign beside HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE and then the plus (+) sign beside Software folder. 9. Look for folders referring to video cards like "3Dfx Interactive," "NVIDIA" and so on. The folder names will vary depending on the drivers and cards installed. However, the folders related to video cards can be easily identified. 10. Delete the directories related to video cards. 11. Restart the computer. The computer will redetect the video card. 12. Cancel the request for drivers and load into 640x480x16 colors. 13. Insert the CD that came with the video card to load the drivers and tools. 14. Restart the computer when prompted and install the drivers from the CD. This will install the display adapter in your computer. Here it is everyone! The program you've all been waiting for.
http://www.hyperionics.com/hc/index.asp Hypercam is so much fun to use. You can adjust the size of screen area to record within the avi program, so file sizes can be controlled. You can pause and restart recording without any irregularities in the movie. Under the AviFile tab you can set the amount of frames per second. We use 1 per second and the quality is quite nice. You can even add sound. Be creative, make holiday avis to send to your friends. Enjoy! Happy recording and Happy Holidays, from BRO and ORB [View Quote] Customs Aide BotNov 21, 2002, 11:36am
