I think they only want 18+ people signing up for Beta, so thats why they ask
for CC details. Kind of silly if you ask me. [View Quote] Problem with Outlook ExpressJun 23, 2003, 1:09pm
When people reply to newsgroup threads they can rpely to specific posts.
The reply will always appear under the post that the person right clicked and went to reply from. For example if I saw something outraging in the 5th post down in a thread of 10 posts, i could reply to that 5th post - my post would be indented slightly to the right, and appear under the one I replied to - essentially becoming the 6th post of 11, if you see what I mean. Because of this, sometiems posts which appear higher up will have a later date - this is because they are tiering off another post and have been replied to at a later point in time - than a post further down in the thread. At least I think that's what you're tlaking about - Ste VirusJun 28, 2003, 7:27pm
Well he did say that he updated the definitions just before he opened it -
so if that isn't the most updated I don;t know what is. VirusJul 1, 2003, 4:49pm
Hmm I thought Bowen was just giving an example of how a computer can be
virus proof - not saying he actually owned one - perhaps I missed something. [View Quote] aw is dead :( aw managmenmt sucksJul 2, 2003, 9:50pm
Perhaps an email would be better than just telegramming them. You are
probably planning this but I thought I'd suggest it anyway. aw is dead :( aw managmenmt sucksJul 4, 2003, 12:58pm
Well I think the "personal appearance" can just about beat the letter. But
that should only be used in extreme circumstances. [View Quote] happy bday AW ;)Jul 1, 2003, 8:31am

such a simple solution that people tend to neglect. 90% of the time, when
something technological doesen't work - the solution is to turn it off and then turn it on again. In the case of programs, reinstall :) [View Quote] Bots need a more reasonable language filter.Jul 2, 2003, 12:34pm
Its quite annoying when you get ejected for saying a word in a different
context, one that wasn't meant to be offensive. You;ll just have to deal with it - so many words have ambigous meanings: cock, bastard, prick, pussy I have all heard being said in a quite innocent manner - and people getting ejected. On the other hand its only 5 minutes, deal with it. No one is going to hold it against you if you come back after saying that word - except for the bot. You'll just have to be careful :( - Ste Bots need a more reasonable language filter.Jul 3, 2003, 12:41pm
Its not so much a case of context - the GKs should tell people to change the
name, in case anyone gets ejected for saying it. Its hard to refer to someone only using pronouns afterall. What is up with M A T T and his obsession with AW?Jul 3, 2003, 12:38pm

I think its an excellent idea - but it will only work depending on how proud
he is and how willing he is. AWGate needs a scatter bot...Jul 5, 2003, 9:35am
Or you could just use a bot to change the parameters on the floor panel
every second or so. AWGate needs a scatter bot...Jul 6, 2003, 11:01am
You can do either I guess. Which one would be easier to program? I don't
know much about bots. AWGate needs a scatter bot...Jul 8, 2003, 11:46am
I think only AWI would want one. Most worlds don't get enough people
entering to have congregation around the entrance. [View Quote] And There OffJul 6, 2003, 11:55am
They accepted me a while ago - but i'm still awaiting my "invitation". I'll

I thought I would have to go into grammar mode - until I realised it was a
pun ;) Special AV's Question..hehJul 16, 2003, 8:28am
Surely it depends on what type of special av it is. I mean - there are
invisible special avs, Blimp special avs, people special avs. The list goes on... Nox 3.4 in DevelopmentJul 16, 2003, 11:40am
AWTeen did run a backdrop changer bot. But it also ran the original Nox 3.3
for a while as well. Right now you are correct though, we don't have any weather bots implemented. But with Nox and Thor 3.4 in the works - that will likely change soon. Nox 3.4 in DevelopmentJul 16, 2003, 11:42am
It would be nice if people with certain citnumbers, on a lsit that was
easily editable, could forcably change the sky - for events and such. out of control gk botJul 18, 2003, 8:14pm
Come on, Bowen tries to dispute your point and you call him a joke and a
"disrespectful ass". I normally sit on the fence in just about msot everything - but if someone started to take shots at me, i'm not just gonna lie down and take it. Similairly, i'm not going to with-hold my opinion on something - if I think someone is wrong (which Bowen obviously does, I for one don't have an opinion). Sure, it'd be hypocritical if Bowen could dispute your points and you couldn't his - but when you start throwing personal insults in - well, its not very mature or manly. I guess i'm just a kid to you anyway, but I can at least try to teach you something. As I said I sit on the fence for most things, but Bowen seems to have an opinion on everything. What's wrong with that? I'm sure msot people on these NGs live in a civilised, developed country where people are entitled to opinions, but maybe there is a usage limit where you live. It seems Bowen's has run out, whatever the case is. Flame me :P [View Quote] out of control gk botJul 22, 2003, 5:39pm
