Not the same .ras format.... AW's .ras format is somewhat modified from the sun systems .ras format somehow..... and the AW
browser's automatic sizing functions go and confuse it even more..... You can use Ananas' RWRAS2BMP to convert backwards, if you
need to save a lost texture from the cache, but it doesn't work on ALL of them..... only textures that are originally sized on
powers of 2, like 64x62, 128x128, 256x256 and so on.... He helped me save some lost textures early this year, that's how we found
this problem :O/ got some back, but not the ones that werent 'square' since the browser resized them to it's liking before it saves
them in the cache folders.... So, I doubt it'd work if you saved in the .ras format that ACDsee uses, which is the 'real' one...

Ohh, I DO think before I post, unlike most here who run off at the mouth at the drop of a hat and who are so quick to judge and
correct others...... Perhaps I was wrong, but it sure seemed a sarcastic commentary to me.... Still does.... Could be because I'm
so used to seeing exactly that in here..... maybe if more people "wouldn't" post if they hadn't anything nice to say, this
newsgroup wouldnt be so inflammatory...... But then it would most likely be pretty empty judging by the contributions from most of

quite tired of it. Way too many self righteous individuals in here who really need to get a grip, shut up, and realize that they

And as far as "host, insanity, world guardians, mr. williams", or whoever the hell he wants to call himself these days is concerned,
he knows exactly what I and most others think of him...... Which is precisely why he jumped on the bandwagon when he saw someone get

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling AW yet ? sometimes it can get
funked up after installing other programs, or even for no apparent reason
and a fresh reinstall will fix things ..... just save your telegram.dat,
telegram.idx and teleport.txt files, so you can replace them after you
reinstall, or else lose all your teleports and grams.....

Save the same files I said before, so you dont lose your grams and teleports for 3.4...... then uninstall and reinstall
Sometimes does the trick.

BUT

If you're on the Beta list, then you need to talk to Young Shamus or someone else about this...... or just email them and ask for
3.3 back..... this sounds like something bug related maybe..... they should know.
Being a beta tester doesn't mean you have cool new software b4 everyone else..... it means having a pain in the ass for months,
while helping work out the bugs. thats the idea behind being a Beta "tester"
