`Dear diary
Wow, Mental trauma is setting in. Finally the merge. This game takes a
lot out of me, and my first tribal council was a horrible expierience. I
voted Mongo, he now hates me out of the game, and blocked all t-grams. I
guess thats the game. Never the less I am here, barely. This birdie is but
feathers and hollow bone. I dont feel like writing anymore, my beak hurts,
and eric is snoring >.<

I woudnt make too much a deal about it, sure it was wrong but then again
OUTWIT is one of the things in survivor. I know for a fact nornny isn't
cheating, but I believe its time for a revise in the rules. I think now that
everyone is going to edit their shots that Nornny should post the winners
pic, and the players should be able to "Call out" the winner. This is that
if the players in the game (other than the one who submitted the shot) can
find evidence that the pic is faked (like wrong shadow or font) then the
T-Shirt should go to the Highest score that looks the most real. Anyone else
agree with me on this one?

-Dear Diary,
Man I am tired, long game sratagy wise, I am exhausted. Maki is now
gone, he was a good guy just had to go, its the way of the game I guess,
many other good friends of mine have gone too like Maki he was one of my
best friends and I WAS planning something with him, but that died. Then
there was the inactive factor in the game, one that worked for only one,
GameCube, Shorah and Joeman tried that, which backfired, guess you gotta be
COMPLETELY inactive for that strategy to work. BinaryBud, wish he wouldn't
have quit, but it shows that he was too weak to take the pain ;-) Others
hmmmm, JerMe Never got to know him, glad I didn't for he is also out.
Pixelot, always sucks to be the first to go, but SOMEBODY had to do it. That
brings me to D A N who almost was good as gamecube with the inactive
strategy, but it backfired when gamecube's only activity in the game was to
say "I think we should vote D A N out, he never does anything" I still
remember that ;-). So then we are here, my recollection fading fast as the
wear of the game is tough.and so remain the battle of sides so to say,
Gandalf, Lioness, Myself, Eric, Ambient, Builderz, and of course GameCube.
Each of us have differant strategies, that will all unfold as the last weeks
of the game continue. Myself? It is tough to state my status in the game. I
hate the word alliance, feels so Evil, when I hate to see anyone go, but the
last words I will leave you with, OUTWIT, OUTFLAME, and OUTLAST....

I agree, I would hope not to be considered in an alliance, especially not
with the AWTeen people, I consider all the remaining cast aways good
friends, and hope they feel the same way about me. I hate to vote this way,
but Its a strategic game, and I feel I am playing the game with strategy,
but also fairly. I truthfully say I am not in an *alliance* when people come
to me and ask me to vote for a specific person, I weigh out for a very long
time which one I think should go. So in reply to Ambi's post I you may see
it as two sides, I see it as three 4, against 2. With me in the middle being
torn to pieces. Just felt like getting that off my chest :)

-Dear Diary...
This game is such a strange one...Well Hypocritic is more of the word I
am looking for. This is the first time in the game where I truely don't know
where I stand. I have tried to get closer with the remaining survivors, and
discuss things with them, but I now know I am being played like a pawn in a
game of survivor chess. I just love it how people say how honest they like
to be in the game and then do a complete turn around when talking to me.
*Sigh* I know my days are numbered and could almost foresee myself entering
the jury next week, if I don't recieve immunity. That is now my mission, I
must continue to win immunity to stay in the game. I percieve an alliance,
even though they swear that there is none. Why else would GameCube still be
in the game? kinda makes me regret my past vote to keep him in the game. How
a person who cares less about the game and who didn't even know where his
camp was, suddenly start playing the game still be here? I am being pulled
toward one answer, someone is keeping him around for an extra needed vote. I
can already see the final two. Lioness., and Ambient Spirit. The rest of us
will be dropped off along the way. Unless, I can help it. This birdie won't
die so easily, and its hard for me to belive that these people who I have
been playing this game with for weeks are so manipulative, and can easily
pass it off that they aren't. I can make this as a plea to save myself next
week, but it will do no good. I believe that they have it all plotted out in
their heads, as I do in mine. So here is where I leave you, possibly my last
journal entry in NGS2002. My gameplan is no longer strategy, but survival...
-A very confused Mod

You didn't ask for them norn, but you know you are gonna get them.
Wow, what a game this has been, and I am still shocked that I was voted out,
but that life :) Its been really great getting to know you guys, and look
for my story from the birdie himself on how I made it as far as I did in the
game, trust me it will surprise all, even nornny ;-). So I will see you on
the jury, where true irony will set in for the final two when it comes to my
turn to vote.
Adios :)

Bah, definitly not necessary, this ng has the potential to be such a great
thing . . .
Just because a few people decide to never let anything go, it should not be
shut down. You have free will, we all do. Most thread headings suggest the
content of the thread, use that free will, and don't click on it. To have a
whole NG shut down because you have to click on every thread, would be
horrible, and just plain rediculous . . .

Do you guys realize that starting posts to stop the advertisements, every
time there is one, is just as bad, actually worse than advertising
themselves. Just live with it, any posts by the game master, just filter,
this was a completely useless thread...

See, that is where, I would have to disagree, the reason why so many people
were let into beta is so the programmers can see everyone's view on it, not
just the people who know the browser inside and out (and few do) because
lets face it most people on AW don't, so they wanted to see how most people
on AW would react to a certain bug if presented, or what their view on the
situation. Personally I realize that many of the posts were out of line, and
I don't believe that it was acceptable, but I believe the cause of this is
that now since there as so many bugs, that it will take forever to fix them
all, and 3.4 will be in beta even longer now. I don't know, maybe I just see
things differently.

I think COB is just one of those things that aren't supposed to make sense,

say "For the love of pie" now why would you say for the love of pie when you

example) it updates the picture that is constantly being changed by snagit.
That is the basic way, if the TV station really starts getting serious I
recommend some of the more advanced methods, like a php script, but I won't
get into that now.

Active Worlds is a privately owned company, Also it is a company set in the
US. As long as the software itself isn't breaking any of the US internet
laws then its pretty much anything goes, Country laws don't apply to the
software itself, and what goes on in it :)
I just find it funny how The Lady comes and try's to change the most stupid
small things, and things that are fine. I know when I ran my world some
crazy things with chat and names went on in there, most people seemed to
welcome the chat manipulation, and those who didn't left. Simple as that. If
I am paying $100 for a world and decide to let you in, you should at least
have the courtesy to not try and change the way that I do things :) BTW the
AW browser is very encrypted, and that's why you can go to bed at night and
sleep knowing some little hacker isn't going to imitate your account (well
about 95% of the time :P). Anyways, just my two cents on the matter :)
-Cheers

OK im posting this because a lot of ppl i know have been facing this problem
where RPC is shutting down their computer.
*note* if you are getting the RPC error you're seeing the results of a
current exploit on port 135, 139, and i believe 445, that allows a hacker to
literally run any script on your computer, with total disregard for current
antivirus software and firewalls. An easy way to tell is to hit
CTRL+ALT+DELETE and check under the "Processes" tab for a program called
msblast.exe to be running.
Here is the patch to fix it.
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;823980#WinXP
Just figured i would post this So people who don't already know, know!

BTW: if you are getting the countdown message (you will know what i am
talking about if you get it.) First of all go to start -> run and type
"shutdown -a" This will abort the countdown. Now, to get rid of the problem
First, unplug your network (if you have cable/dsl/t1) and restart your
computer. This thing is only active with an active network connection, its
triggered remotely, something like that. Then, hit CTRL+ALT+DEL, go to
processes, end "msblast.exe" (yeah, someone put that on your computer
without you ever knowing...) Once you have msblast.exe shut down, go to
c:\windows\system32 and delete msblast.exe. Now the tricky part. Go to
start -> run and type "regedit". Then using the registry editor, go to
Hkey_local_machine -> Software -> Microsoft -> Windows -> Run. This will
show a listing of some of the stuff windows runs on your box. Go to the end,
the "windows auto update" and delete it.
Then install the patch I mentioned in the last post :)
