Idea comes to mind, what about an ASP, PHP & CGI sdk which connects to the
world server & adds certain citnums to cert boxes if the script has right
PASSWORD for that world (it will be a different password 2 world 1)
~John
P.S. Thoughts, anyone?

In this casem the potential for abuse is no greater than the potential for
abuse of the world's Welcome message and the ability to set a world so that
anyone can enter it and read that message. Keep in mind that this would a
way of getting only a single text message, which obviously is much less than
what you get if you are actually allowed to enter the world. The potential
for proper use are what we sould be concerned with, because it would allow
world owners a way to give people such information as why the world is
closed, when (if ever) it will be open, and where to look or who to contact
for more details. Abuse of such a feature would be handled like abuse of
any other information providing feature, if such abuse were to happen and be
bad enough for people to look for a way to deal with it. It would be a very
useful feature.

I've just been reading about pitch in 3.4 in the SDK NG (to do with bots), I
think we should have:
create pitch 135, which makes you look up, or create pitch 45, which makes
you look down. This would be a brilliant function as i'm sure a lot of
people know the problems when running down huge flights of stairs too fast
with walls in front............ a lil run here, hover, walk on air, land,
run, hover, walk, land, etc.

Has anyone else noticed that the AWORLD.exe is forever getting smaller? A
while ago it was over 1mb and although they implement more features, it
still manages to decrease in size. Do aw sacrifice the un-bugginess of the
program for size??
Dec 28, 2002, 4:21pm
I, again, suggest that we have multiple telegrams but people can have three
features of this:
+ Allow anyone to send me multiple telegrams.
+ Only allow people on my list to send me multiple telegrams.
+ Don't allow anyone to send me multiple telegrams.
(this would cut down on the possiblity of SPAM)
:-D
Suggestions!?

I wish that aw would, before finishing 3.4, read through the newsgroups,
take four of the most popular (and not-too-hard-to implement) and add then
add it to 3.4.
I hardly ever see anything wished for here coming up in the AW software:
Fly & Shift to be rights
A bit to move along with objects for trams, cars, trains, etc.. and lifts.
Many others
Still, it is as if AW perfer to do what THEY WANT rather than what the user
wants... remember "the customer is always right".... lol.
I'm a good customer (I own three p30/10s) so do what I want :-D

Idea: Make it so the Browser takes a picture of the buildings and sets them
as a semi-backdrop to the rest until you start to get closer.

> Actually, it wouldn't kill older computers at all. On the contrary, if
properly used it would actually increase performance. Here's why... Right
now, the existance of a few large objects in the average world makes it
necessary to have a visibility range that is quite a bit larger than what
would be needed with the radius based augmentation. Therefore, with that
augmentation in place, the smaller objects could be given a slightly smaller
visability range. Since they are harder to see at a distance and often
obscured by larger objects such as the house they may have been placed in,
smaller objects having a few meters less visability range would generally
not even be noticed, but rendering a small object usually has almost the
same performance impact as rendering a larger object of equal complexity so
there would most likely be a performance gain.

This would be good, especially if the UV values scaled correctly to keep the

It would be nice if there could be a scripting language for AW
E.G.
Sub CommandArrival
if command = "open_account" then
#Open account details here
end if
End Sub
So that world owners could run RPGS from a server-side script. It would run
just like a bot except it would be a script on the server. Wouldn't require
much of a mod to the client.

Loads of people only use the box for typing object names, descriptions or
actions.. what would be nice would be:
http://www.3d-reality.com/misc/objectproperties.jpg
Show All, showing the regular object properties dialog box.
All the others would show the selected section.
I would like this as I, generally, use the keyboard for most of the building
features and the object properties dialog is a hinderance more than a help.

It would be brilliant if:
You could make a simple script to make trains follow a track.
You could enter each position along the track, stations, etc. and then ok it
and there would be a train object following the tracks at the same time for
everybody.
You could get on and off at stations.
Script:
Trains=1
{=Train1
#Leave blank if the front and back are the same as the middle.
FrontObject=FrontOfTrain.rwx
BackObject=BackOfTrain.rwx
MiddleObject=MiddleOfTrain.rwx
#Wait 10 Sec For Passengers
WaitingTime=10
#Speed (coords per second)
Speed=2
#
Stations=2
Positions=1
[=Station1
Location=0n 0e 0a 0
]
[=Station2
Location=4n 0e 0a 0
]
(=Position1
From=Station1
Coordinates=2n 0e 0a 0
To=Station2
)
}
Although this is complex and would probably be done in an easier way, there
could be a script that would be easy to understand for positioning stations
& track
I would love to see something implemented like this.
