Poseidon [View Quote] AWLife Hosting :)Feb 9, 2005, 11:10pm
Greetings All,
Over the past few days I've worked to setup features on our server that hosts all of our worlds, to allow all customers remote administrative options. This service is free and provided with all of our world hosting packages :) If you're interested, please take a look at www.awlife.com or http://www.awlife.net/content/view/14/42/ for a direct link. AWLife offers incredibly reliable hosting (99.9% uptime) for worlds of all kinds, in the Universe of your choice (as long as the Universe allows outside groups to host the worlds), and all worlds are hosted on commercial computers (not a home PC). If you're interested, please visit the link above. :) Cheers, Poseidon Feb newsletterFeb 27, 2005, 5:57am

Not sure though. Poseidon [View Quote] AWLife Newsletter (Software wide newsletter)Jul 9, 2005, 1:59am
Greetings Everyone :)
Over the past couple of weeks, I have worked (with the help of some very generous contributors) to compile a newsletter, covering events not only in the Active Worlds main universe, but in a few other universes and galaxies. Please check it out at http://www.awlife.net or directly at: http://www.awlife.net/content/section/3/55/ - The aim of this newsletter is NOT to replace the current AWNewsletter which is published by Active Worlds Inc., every month, but to cover news and events that it doesn't (namely, events occuring elsewhere outside of the AW Uni). Basically, it is a resource that will attempt to bring together the various galaxies and universes, and maybe even promote a little exploration between all of them.... All the branches of AW are incredible, and if you really take some time to look into them, you will see that the AW software itself *is* incredibly active and very much alive and thriving! So take a look at the newsletter :) If you have an interest in submitting and helping out in ANY capacity, it would be most welcomed! If so, contact newsletter at awlife.net - Pass the site along to your friends, and stay connected with whats happening in Active Worlds... Software wide :) Cheers and thanks for reading, Poseidon AWLife Newsletter (Software wide newsletter)Jul 9, 2005, 3:11am
I'm open to suggestion :)
The newsletter is designed to be something that connects people throughout all the little branches of AW... so all suggestions are welcome as to how we can do that better :-D Poseidon [View Quote] AWLife NewsletterJul 19, 2005, 5:11pm

them for those prices =P Poseidon [View Quote] Please join us!Jul 23, 2005, 4:18pm
Greetings one and all :)
On Saturday, July 30th at 10PM VRT, the new version of AWRPG, "Version 2.0" will be released to the public. I would like to invite you all to be there, whether or not you've ever been to AWRPG before, because on saturday the entire world is going to change *so* much, that it won't matter if you've visited before or not :) In effect, we have completely redone the world, and would like everyone to stop in to check it out. With the new changes in effect, we are coming closer and closer to an "actual" game, in the way that everything is setup. So come check it out, and join us on saturday the 30th, at 10pm VRT :-D Thanks much! Poseidon Newsletter submissionsJul 27, 2005, 7:33pm

Hi folks :)
The next edition of the AWLife Newsletter is coming out a couple of days later than the previous (which came out on July 5th) mainly because I've been relocating to a different state, and half the apartment has been packed up, and I've been without internet! That said, over the next couple of days I will be putting together the August edition of the AWLife Newsletter, so if you've wanted to submit... this is your last chance! :) If you have submissions, please send them my way at newsletter at awlife.net :) Cheers! Greetings all,
The newest edition of the AWLife Newsletter was released last night. You can view it here: http://www.awlife.net/content/section/3/55/ This month's edition was a little bare, though we did not have quite as many submissions as last month, and it's been rather hard getting some of the other universes to submit... Although we will continue to publish! hehe. Enjoy. As usual, please send all submissions to newsletter at awlife.net Thanks, Poseidon AWLife August EditionAug 17, 2005, 2:55pm

Hey Folks,
Just a friendly reminder that all AWLife Newsletter submissions must be in by tomorrow (September 2nd) to newsletter at awlife.net if you'd like to make it in for the September Edition :) Cheers, and thank you for your continued support! Poseidon Hurricane KatrinaSep 4, 2005, 3:11pm
You really are too vicious for your own good. Unfortunately while things
could have happened, or should have happened, that is not the intent of the main post here. The intent is to establish a memorial site for the peoples lives that have been forever affected by this tragedy; we're not talking about Bush here, nor is that sentiment appreciated right now. It is not the time, or the place for it. Poseidon [View Quote] The September EditionSep 5, 2005, 11:56pm

A few of us have been working diligently to put together festivities for the next AWReunion, for 2006 :) More information about all of that can be found at: www.awreunion.com as well as in the AWLife Newsletter of the month at: http://www.awlife.net/content/section/3/55/ Thanks, Poseidon What happened at Boston?Sep 9, 2005, 12:54pm
I wasnt altogether sure how to answer these posts, but I suppose one way is
to simply say that one reason for the "seperate" groups stemmed from how the plans laid out. No, we did not get to tour the offices at AWI on Friday. As a result, a bunch of us decided that if AWI had cancelled our tour with them, WHY in the world would we run up to Newburyport, and attempt to visit anyway? Seemed kind of silly to a few of us, so we suggested making other plans and actually *seeing* the historical sites in Boston... Which we kind of accomplished that day :) On Saturday, because of a snaffoo in communication and planning (in my opinion, but I suppose that is up for argument too) by the organizers. That's my opinion. Roughly half the group did not make it to the Duck tours in time, because half of us were following the itinerary literally, while the organizers werent, lol, so as a result, those of us who were carpooling together to get down to the "T" station (the subway, which seemed like a better bet to us than trying to find non existant parking in downtown boston, or driving in that mess for that matter) were. There were a lot of things that happened at the reunion that I'm sure people can (and will, or have) had a field day with. However, in my opinion it is more important where we all go with things in the after glow. I say, if you are unhappy with how something was done, do it yourself, but there's no reason to cause a lot of drama while you do it. Being one of the committee members listed (and one of the primary organizers with Archergirl) I can say that yes I was displeased with how Boston was organized, but that I would rather move on a make a progressive stand to create a very well run reunion experience that will hopefully inspire dozens of people to come to these reunions from now on. It's just like AW, folks. If a world you visit, or an organization you're a part of doesn't work to your standards, you don't gripe, complain, begin flame wars (at least, I would say you shouldn't) - you get up, and start your own effort to do it better. That's life. That's what we're doing with Chicago. And with that..... I would say that anyone and everyone is welcome to come and join the fun in Chicago, in 2006; even people there were disagreements with in Boston. Boston, was Boston, and while we had an INCREDIBLY time (I know I did), and while there was tension between people, it is truly time to move on. :) Forward thinking always. www.awreunion.com :) This is the longest post I've made in a while. I hope its coherant. Thanks, Poseidon [View Quote] What happened at Boston?Sep 9, 2005, 12:59pm
So in my former post I totally got off track. Let me pick up the pieces,
LOL. On Saturday, because of a snaffoo in communication and planning (in my opinion, but I suppose that is up for argument too) by the organizers and we were left behing. As a result, that day was either going to be wasted hanging around, waiting for the rest of the group to return from the Duck tours, or spending more time visiting the historic locations in Boston... What'd we do?! We toured more of Boston :) We toured Boston, and coming from someone who had never been to the east coast before, for a first visit, I saw a hell of a lot more of Boston than I would have, had I gotten caught up in waiting around because of an error in the itinerary. I'm a proactive individual; when things go wrong, I generally only like to take about ten minutes freaking out about it, and then I move on with present company, and work on fixing the situation, or at least making the best of it. As a result, I had a great day in downtown Boston with new friends. *snip!* The rest of the post should continue here now :) There were a lot of things that happened at the reunion that I'm sure > people can (and will, or have) had a field day with. However, in my > opinion it is more important where we all go with things in the after > glow.
