Hi everybody, I never post in this NG actually. I think that also many foreign
words are mispelled because they were 'translated' into English..no one says a word about that, but they still are very incorrect and give the idea of deep ignorance. There is a standard English that many mother tongue ppl do not even speak in those NG, so it is hard for foregners to figure out about 100 different slangs or languages (British English, American English, Australian English....etc). I agree to correct a mispelled English is very helpful, personally I appreciate it very much. I do not agree with beign rude or bashing people for that, I do not also agree with thinking that English is the only language, because at least foregners can speak 2 or more different languages, which I believe at least give you the opportunity to open your mind to the world. icey [View Quote] > There's a very big difference between trying to do what you can to speak > correct english (even when you fail), and intentionally messing up what you > write. Well Marvin I don't think it will be so easy unless doing that only for
English language, AW is an international enviroment and for example bad words in my language (Italian) are very very complex and quite impossible to be codified. Anyway it's a good idea and it could be a good start as the average AW population speaks English ( I think ...) icey:-) [View Quote] > I got a real simple solution to the whole thing. Well , if they are the only two most pop bad words you can manage ...I think
that it wouldn't be a big deal finding all the "similars"..the prob is there are languages with thousans bad words or millions bad phrases...so what do you do .. icey:-) [View Quote] > I hate to be rude, so please ONLY take this in context, but to make it as > fukin' clear as I possibly can, I would like to say that you just can't > imagine the kind if schit some doinks will go through just to get in a few > funking swear words, and it don't really matter weather or not it help to > get their point across, or what the hëll they're trying to say since it's > how the fück they say it that makes the difference... if you know what I > mean. Well I am not a technician maybe Marvin's idea is difficult to carry out, I
don't know anyway ..I mean.. you're all talkative ...few words but good let's start from there ..it's not all but some words out ..which ones? ~Volunteers of security ~
The net is fun, the net is wide, the net is growing, the net is crowded of security problems ... I think that a -secure place- nowadays should be the most requested In AW there are different ways of showing your virtual name and so your virtual ID Tourists="plain writing" Citizens="bold writing" Pubblic Speakers="bolder writing" COF="very bold writing" A tourist can be complitely anonymous, loging in from an internet caf A citizen can have given the server only an Email or maybe his name, address and all his personal informations. A safe user should be a -traceble person- that's a virtual identity well known by the server An unsafe user should be an -untraceble or hardly traceble user- by the server itself if not for his IP # A sort of citizen rating could be introduced for those users that are going to give the server all informations generally requested as to pay with a credit card or as requested to open an ISP account, like: name, address, tel. no., ......., pets, shoes size...joking:-) This in order to show other users that there are safe citizens that do care for those kind of problems, easily traceble persons by the server itself, their virtual names could be something like : icey* or whatever. So I think that many of us would be very interested in being able to show other users that they' ve asked for a rating ..and maybe pay some extra for that...I would ...wouldn't you? I don't know if AW server will find this a reliable idea and if COF would appreciate this option, but maybe if many of us are interested COF will pay attention to this :-) Thanks a lot for listening and sorry if my English isn't so good icey AW citizen Protecting ChildrenJun 20, 2000, 3:39pm

As you were making a complaint about intelligent and not intelligent posting I thought better to let you
know, I am not sure your post is scholar enough for the community NG you would need to revise it a little, for example I would also examine the height and the millimeters to the left and right, I would check font size and make a report to the postmaster before attemting to send your mail, surely it is a way too weird for general.d...I feel like laughing...I can't resist..hold me [View Quote] [View Quote] General discussionJun 25, 2001, 8:49pm

Can headphones cure headaches?Jun 29, 2001, 11:35am

I had a pounding headset earlier, but i had to try out this bass tester cd for my rumble fx force feedback headache, and the vibrations from my head gave my headset a little massage, and made my headphones go right away...... I am not sure this is what you are meaning...You can change the icon
path, if you make a shortcut of it, right clicking on the shortcut, you can modify the icon path, and use your custom icons icey [View Quote] >Hi, I made some new folder icons and I need to know how to set then up on a >(new ""folder"" type) >I already created it at a registered file now I need to know what actions to >add to make it act like a "normal" folder. >When I click on it , it will not open >Note I need it to act just like a "normal" folder would so I can store files >in it. >I know how to make a new file type I just never made a new folder type >before. > > need helpNov 23, 2001, 7:14pm
You can also change the icon path, right clicking on the desktop,
selecting properties, and selecting the fourth folder to the right (I don't have a clue what is called in English)...it should work icey [View Quote] >Hi, I made some new folder icons and I need to know how to set then up on a >(new ""folder"" type) >I already created it at a registered file now I need to know what actions to >add to make it act like a "normal" folder. >When I click on it , it will not open >Note I need it to act just like a "normal" folder would so I can store files >in it. >I know how to make a new file type I just never made a new folder type >before. > > Check this out!Dec 17, 2001, 8:43pm
One of the main features of bots' is to go spamming and advertising in

You don't have an ID? You just have a passport? We do have IDs, we also have a
driving licence, C/C, and varoious association cards, various codes ID cards depending on the Officer that you might drop in, the sanitary ID card, the card for the supermarket, passport, when we go round we need a truck to carry all the IDs, I am not sure what in case we'd like to go biking, probably they sell small ID trailers to fix to the bike and pull around wherever we go. Yet it's always me myself. For sure the right ID is always at home, you always carry all those papers, and when you need one, you just find out it to be on the kitchen table or wherever icey:) [View Quote] [View Quote] |
