[FWD: Objects for Sale]

Jul 4, 2003, 4:53pm
"If someone would be kind enough to forward this to the Community and
Worldbuilders NGs, I'd appreciate it:

Okay, It's safe to say I'll never be able to leave Active Worlds. Just a
week after trying to leave I re-installed the program. I am useless.

Anyway, Problem is I just don't have enough money to renew my
citizenship, so I had to stoop the lowest form of existance and start
selling some of my objects to get enough money to get back into AW.

So I'm offering the Jungle Warfare Set. A massive project I did for
Lugia the CTF & Paintball world that was never use which comprises of
over 100 objects, 200 textures, 12 avatars, sounds and skyboxes for just
$45.

This set took me 6 months to create and I can honestly say I put my
blood, sweat and tears into it. I'm hoping that theres a few of you out
there that might appreciate my work and purchase a copy of the set to
help me back into AW so I can make objects again like I used to.

If anyone wants to take a closer look at the Jungle Warfare Set heres
the link:

http://www.oriox.com/jungle.html

On purchasing the set I'll e-mail a zip to you with everything you need
ready to upload and use immediatley.

-Robbie"

Mr X, Mr Y and Mr Z

Jul 11, 2003, 3:49am
[View Quote] Mr. Y either has no "schlong" or a very little one. Therfore Y is the
bottom of a man upside down missing the "schlong." ;) Therefore, his
wife says "Y oh Y" so he thinks it's just his name in relation to the
others. I didn't know which euphamism to use... so "schlong" is what we
will call "it" now.

I hope that explained it to the lesser sick minded people out there that
aren't focused on sex.

Mr X, Mr Y and Mr Z

Jul 12, 2003, 3:17pm
[View Quote] It's sort of a pun.

Once he's asked X and Y, and you know it's going to be about sex, it
doesn't take much to guess why his name is Mr. Y. Think about _why_
she's saying that. And _why_ an upside down Y would be good to
"visualize" that.

Totally the opposite with windows. It's made me log in as administrator
to install things that really shouldn't need it. I think it might've
been AIM. At that point I said "hah, I guess I'll just stay administrator."

[View Quote] Non-admins can write to the registery as far as I'm aware. Deleting is
another issue (I think you can set rights for that sort of thing). As
for keeping required system components in program files... that's a
stupid idea. :-\

Maybe something more along the lines of C:\windows\shell\ would be more
in order for programs windows requires. This would then allow
non-administrators to install programs. There's also something that
should be quite like that personal firewall (forget it's name) that pops
up authorization for programs to open up ports (thus allowing people
better control over things that might be viruses... and things that
shouldn't contact hosts on the internet.). I don't know, those seem
like better measures for allowing the system to be more secure while
allowing normal users a little bit more leeway.
