in cae you don't know, in the next version (due out next year sometime i
think) they have improved privacy features. One thing i know is Roland used
the ability to hide his online status (so the green checkmark is not visible
when hes on and no one can telgram him). Im pretty sure they've got other
things but i don't know what they all are just yet. Excpect to see a full

"This requires implementing a new database on the universe server side that
stores each citizen's blocked user list"
http://www.activeworlds.com/roland/features/block_telegrams.html
Roland mentions how blocking telegrams woudl work (i think its in the new
version) and that a way to do it (the way they most likely would use) is to
have the uniserver keep a database of the blocked users. That could be what
he meant.

even IF someone were to break into the database and find out who someone is
blocking what would that do? Oh my god someone knows who i blocked! and
since they know their citezin name they can know EVERYTHING about them! Come
on, wow, if they know someones citezin name the worst they can do is
telegram them to death (and get blocked). The name querys thing isnt relevnt
becuase the logging in protocal is seperate from the database (which is just
a list of citezin numbers/names)
bots can find out the ip adress of every person in a world (in range) is
that enroaching on everyones privacy? should we ban bots?
Im not trying to be mean but knowing the citezin names of certain people
isn't the worst of my worries.
"even though it would be easy for them, because all logins are immediately
followed by a series of name queries."
that is totaly diferent from knowing someones cit name. You can find out
anyones cit name easily why would you break into a database to do that. And
the log in part is totaly diferent from the database, so i dont knwo what
you mean by that.

i wish that bots could have a greater range of recieving events from. i HATE
making multiple instaces just to cover the whoel world. I think that it
should either be doubled or set up to a certain limit. That way, depending
on the bot, you can have it cover your whoel world from gz or just a lower
range if it is a chatbot. but i dont think this would happen becuase aw
wants you to buy more cits to get more bot instances (which isnt goign to
happen)
