People have tried; it's because windows is just too dependent on many
resources that are windows-only, ex: renderware, and some other products
I can't think off the top of my head.

There is, but just the name itself, it's in the wikipedia site. I will
look into it this week, it isnt a big of a hassle to install. Read the docs.
