Ratios have nothing to do with this, SWE. I'm not defending Israel for what
they've done. But you seem to be defending Palestine as if they weren't
doing anything wrong. Here's the facts: Both sides are wrong in some form
or another. It doesn't matter how many on each side were killed, it still
remains that both sides are wrong.

Yeah. That's about right. And as far as the money issue goes, he is
absolutely correct.

It's all bad, as far as I can tell. Doesn't matter how many people died.
September 11 is different because its the first time terrorists have
actually succeeded and killing over 4000 American citizens at once. It is
also different because they didn't die from natural causes. Their lives
were taken by others. Does that make it somehow more special than any other
problems? No, but it IS the six month anniversary, and for those who want
to remember America's fallen, they should be allowed to do so.

I was making a statement of fact, not conjecture. It doesn't need to be
backed up and propoganda has nothing to do with it.

America's foray into Somalia was not received well by the local populace.

I said this in response because your post pretty much said that you wanted
America to come help you out. If you feel that strongly, write to the
American Ambassador to Libya, if there even is one. Is there one? I'm not
sure. :(

making the US gov't look like the freeking Taliban and SWE like he's a
bigot. He's not. I know from personal experience. Less is more. :)

It really depends on if who is in the military goes along with their
commanding officers. Our military is entirely volunteer. And then there's
that freedom to bear arms thing in the constitution. I think you'd be
surprised.

come up with one.

Ask acting-president and representative of the VOC, I will state the VOC's
official position on this matter.

We have no official position on this issue, except that we will only change
the name of the games and the VOC and change the logo when we come up with
an official position.

We decided it was the host city's responsibility to make the logo. It says
so in the host city application form that you must submit one to be
considered. But I'm considering changing that because no applications have
been received. :(

Hi Daniel,

While I am sorry to hear that you feel that JP and I are incompetent =
and
"have done more damage to AW than anyone ever has before", (*wondering =
where
YOU were when Worlds was shutting it down*) I can agree with your =
feelings
about AW.

I am unsure as to where this rumor about AW started but please be =
assured
that it is untrue.

Don't believe everything you hear either about me or AW,

Rick Noll

CEO
Activeworlds Corp.
(978) 499 0222

Well, it is a relief to hear that, and I sure hope he's letting the =
truth, but I really don't know what to think, seeing as they have LIED, =
LIED, and LIED again so many times in the past. And I STILL stand by my =
opinion of their incompetence and of their damage to AW. If they =
actually do go through with the "rumor" after stating this is would be =
even worse than anything they have done before. Now all we can really do =
is sit and wait until the next time AW management decides they want to =
rape the citizens up AW up the ass.

Oh, and by the way, Mr. Noll, if I'm not mistaken I WAS there when =
world was shutting it down and I recall news that there was a competing =
bid (I think it was Protag and Da5id), so much for you being the =
"saviors" of AW you'd like to make yourself out to be.

I think I'll give him a call one of these days to clarify why I =
shouldn't believe what I hear about him.

Tell me what you guys think....

Virtual Olympics Committee - Notice to all

Mar 29, 2002, 1:25am
The Committee has decided to wait a year to hold the Olympics due to lack of
citizen interest. The first Olympic ceremony will be held in 2003. This
decision was not made because of any actions taken by AWC. We simply feel
that the interest is just not there this year to have such a large event as
this.

For those who were interested in this community-building and fun idea, we
thank you for giving us a chance. Just remember, we _will_ be there next
year. :)
