Yay Syntax! :D Congratulations. Nornny, you pulled off a winner. Can't
wait for next season! Btw... here's my Survivor log I promised everyone.
It's full of my devious little plans that I wrote as we were playing. >:)

Try downloading it now. I changed the file to Rich Text Format so it should
be readable to anyone who has wordpad. That should be all Windows users,

To be quite honest, it should be your responsibility, as the person who's
committing the act, to know what you can and cannot do. You shouldn't have
to wait for someone to tell you to stop, because in the real world, waiting
until someone tells you to do or not to do something will get you fired.
Know your limits. And hopefully, now you do. :)

When ejecting someone you are acting as a representative of AWTeen, so
anything you say about those events in which you acted on AWTeen's behalf,
you are saying on AWTeen's behalf as well. Why, you say? Cause you used
privelages that AWTeen gave you to eject TrekkerX, that's why. Public
relations, remember, Xel? :) It shouldnt' be a part-time job.

True. This is something to work on for next year Next year, they need to
make sure the bot doesn't crash and stays online during voting hours. And
next year, please make sure the worlds don't crash browsers. :( I was able
to catch the Avvy Awards on ABN though, so no biggy. :) All in all a good

Whatever crashed everyone's browser was a problem only related to the av01
worlds. I crashed several times in av01exb and av01avvy. I never crashed
in av01 though. So find what is common about those two worlds, and not
common in av01, and you will have narrowed the list of possible problems
down to an easily managable list. :) That way the planning committee will
know what to avoid next year.

hmm... no. I've been in AWTeen with that many people in the immediate area
and it didn't crash there. And I was in Av01exb when there were only a few
folks visible, and it still crashed. I really don't think any browser
instability has anything to do with it. That's my opinion though. :) I
don't know for sure.

Ok, now we're getting somewhere. I'll submit along with Mauz that the
worlds and avatars were done a little _too_ well. I think AW kept trying to
stuff things into my poor Voodoo 3000 when it was already full, thus causing
a crash. :)

Since AWNews.com is down *looks at Cybor* as it usually is when there's
breaking news, I'll be posting the newest Talking Points in the
General.Discussion group soon. XelNaga has been fired and half of AWTeen is
up in arms over the decision! What's up with that? Stay tuned.

The newest issue of Talking Points has been posted on AWnews.com. The site
reopened just in time. :) Besides, I didn't think Goober King would
appreciate me posting it here. :)

His statement was entirely true if the parts you're referring to is the
Three Strikes rule. Talking Points has verified this. Go and comment
there.

Well if the source would let me reveal its name, it'd be beyond doubt,
simply because of their identity. Here's a riddle... whoever XelNaga
didn't mention that was on Core back in July is the source. Think about
that.

No, you misunderstand. I don't recall ever seeing a real-life Princess Leia
hologram, or Monday Night Football in full 3-dimensional

GK, maybe the reason that the community building program hasn't taken off is
because of lack of advertising? I myself has forgotten about it until you
mentioned it. *sheepish shrug*
Anywho, while I wish I could say something profound and meaningful here, and
I can't think of anything at the moment, let me just tell you that this
divide isn't the only symptom to our problem.
There is also a larger user base of Active Worlds than there was 5 years
ago. With a larger user base, you get more diverse people and more
diversified opinions. Most people will stick to those opinions and the
potential for conflict becomes greater. There's nothing we can do about
that. In fact, I submit that this generation gap is just a manifestation of
this. As more people come to AW, the more we perceive that there are more
idiot newbie teenagers than mature adults. Why? Cause these noobs tend to
stick out more in our minds because quite frankly and in all sincerety, many
have big dirty mouths.
A woman, who has the excentricity of L'uxianna Troi, is a client at the
computer shop I work for and has Active Worlds 3.1 on her computer. That
pretty much tells you she was a tourist. Now I live out in the middle of
nowhere in a town that is comparable to the hillbillie villages of yore in
southern missouri. Please tell me how she got a hold of Active Worlds? To
conclude this wild tangent, AW is reaching a far wider audience than we give
Rick and JP credit for. It's not just the web savvy teen-geeks, but web
savvy adults as well. :)
We can't go back to the good ol' days. There's no way we can. But we can
adapt to this new age and try to make a better community out of AW that way,
instead of attempting to regress to an earlier state.
