Re: Daphne thinks all of you should see this, so here it is...

Mar 18, 2001, 10:28am
I completely agree with that last comment Jbell, well put. Daphne, we have
never met and I'm in no way trying to offend you. I respect your efforts in
CitBingo and think you deserve the respect you get from other citizens,
although you must not abuse that respect by putting down people that are
different to you.

The gor people are just a group of twisted people. Gor is a religion and
whether you agree to what they do or not does not give you the right to
discriminate against them as you please.

The world is full ofp eople form different backgrounds and diffferent
religious practises. Everyone is different. What may be considered
disgusting or vulgar in your opinion maybe seen as procedre or even an
honour in other cultures.

People like Son of Sass have contributed a lot to CitBingo and have held the
community together at times. SoS has left his/her position based on morals,
that everyone in AW should be treated as equal and their own views and
religions should be respected and not discriminated against.

I belive the right thing for Daphne to do is to appologise to SoS and BvS
and offer to accept his work as prizes despite how she feels about it. Then
maybe SoS would consider returning to CitBingo becuase it will never be the
same without him/her...

And if you are reading this SoS, you are welcome to forward this on to
Daphne's e-mail address...

I think that most will agree wih some of my views above...

Active-Worlds.co.uk - HELP!

Mar 19, 2001, 5:44am
TELL ME PEOPLE!

Some of you may have seen active-worlds.co.uk my new website. I'm slowly
adding new news and downloads and competitions. But I don't seem to get a
lot of hits.

Tell me, what sorta things would attract you to my site? I have a good
layout, A large collection of downloadable objects and avatars (textures and
seqs coming soon) and an up-to-date news section.

I'm considering gettings a newsgroup set up for AW and the occasional off
topic posts. So long as there are no flames. But would really attract you
all to my site and become a regukar visiter?

Active-Worlds.co.uk - Thanx everyone!!!

Mar 19, 2001, 8:16pm
Hey everyone, thanks all for your responce to my last post...

Your comments will ALL be used as I am designing yet another design, my
final design, it will be quick to load with few and simple Java scripts and
NO popups what so ever.

I am trying by best to get as many new features together and I will be
updating the Objects databse to a fully functional ASP Database...

I am also putting together a massive news databse with around 4 or 5
articles a month and large arcyives keeping everything posted for later
reference (like the AW newsletters)...

It should be up at the weekend, any borken links or suggestions will be very
welcome. Just e-mail me (robbie at active-worlds.co.uk or
gamer at active-worlds.co.uk) and if I can I will respond with in a day or so
:)

Thanks again and I hope the new design grabs me da hits.

Also if anyone here owns a world and wold be interested supporting my site
by adding a pict1.rwx to their GZ with my AD then I would really appreciate
it...

Active-Worlds.co.uk - Your Ads Needed!!!

Mar 21, 2001, 8:18pm
Hey everyone, as my site is slowly coming together, ive added yet another
new section to the site. Each month Ill be placing ads at
www.active-worlds.co.uk/ca/ hopefully after a few months ill have enough to
build a database and convert the section into a searchable directory.

But to do all this, I need your help!!!

E-mail adverts to gamer at active-worlds.co.uk with the JPGs attached. Please
keep the ad resonable small, no bigger than 200x200 pixels, the first 9
people to send Ads will be placed on the main page, everyone after will go
into the directory. I gurentee I can help increase your hits.

In return I 'ask' that you link to my site in some way. Although it is not
mandatory...

Lanezeri...

Mar 25, 2001, 12:41pm
Lanezeri. When I first saw your posts, websites and builds many months ago
around the NGs and Active Worlds, you were very productive, full of ideas
and a talented programmer and builder.

However in the last few weeks on your citizenship you have become a selfish,
self-centered, egotistical bastard. (sorry every else who has to read this)
You are annoying. You use profanities in most of your posts as if they would
make you seem better.

Active Worlds and its NGs are mainly populated by firendly and talented
people who like to share ideas and keep Active Worlds a fun place for
children and adults to meet, talk and build in harmony.

Its when people like you come along that things are spoiled. And its not
like anything you say is valid either. 90% of your posts are insults,
profanities or self-centered advertisments of your so called
'achievements'...

For example, a week or so ago you said in one post that Active Worlds users
in general sit around all day at their computers with no real lifes and your
leaving to get on with your 'life'. Well then piss off and get on with your
menial little life. As its obvious that you have no life spending all your
time sitting at your computer putting down other peoples hard work.

Active Worlds is one of the most advanced forms of online communication
around today and we don't need people like you giving us a bad name. I'm
sure many of the people in this news group agree with me, if so you are all
welcome to add your own comments to this string. I know these are your few
last days in AW with your citizenship. And I hope very much that you do
infact let it expire.

Every since I joined Active Worlds I have seen individuals that lead
reasonable normal RL lifes come out of themselfs and acheive things online
that they can be proud of. This is a place non-discriminant of race, sex,
age or religion where anyone, anywhere can meet and talk with anyone else
from anywhere else in the world...

So if I take everything that I have written above and condense it into 2
words...

........Fuck off....

Im sure most will agree with me...

Free Objects 4 you :o)

Mar 26, 2001, 1:29pm
Hey, after I posted my martini object (Which only took around 30 mins) I got
a lot of reponse in the form of e-mail and telegrams. It seems AW lacks a
modeller that will create objects for free.

I myself did this for a while but got snowed down with requests. You guys
are intellegent and patient people so I am willing to take any requests so
long as they are within reason. Im afraid I cant do avatars (still learning
how to articulate) but I can do most objects :o)

Just post a reply on this post and if I think I can do it I'll e-mail you
the RWX and textures if used...

A thought...

Apr 8, 2001, 7:30am
I agree, its the little worlds that struggle so much under the awesom number
of people that are in Alphaworld everyday. I have seen now 3 massive p-100
worlds, go from busting with people to compeltely empty, its a shame becuase
so much work is poured into them, and within months or even weeks, they
become dead, wastes of a world on the server.

Which brings me to another important point, DAMN AW! There is a limit of 750
worlds online at a time and nowadays there is constantly 750 worlds. When I
try to start my worlds, they damned server refuses my connection.

If AW dosent fix this in the next few weeks, I will consider seeking a
refund. :o(

ACTIVE-WORLDS.CO.UK

Apr 12, 2001, 4:31pm
Hey everyone...I know this is the third time but I've designed a new design
for active-worlds.co.uk - sorry I can't help it!! Anyway the new design is
better than the last two and I intend on keeping this one permanently
(although I said that last time)...

It dosent use anything more complicated than the last design so in theory it
should be just as compatible with different browsers...if it dosent look
right in your Browser PLEASE let me know...I wan't the quality of the
website to be perfect for all visitors ne matter how old their software is

GorWorld....what is up with this world??

Apr 16, 2001, 8:04am
Gor Worlds are Medieval Role Play worlds based on a series of Books from a
few years ago. The rule are very harsh at times. The general gist if you
have Free men, masters and slaves...Free Men are just that..they have no
slave and arent a slave. The Master is the owner of a slave and a slave
music do anything the master requires...

At times Gor can be very sexual or explicit and the only way that they're
are allowed to coninue this is if they make sure that only people of the
right age come in..

if you are not 18....I suggest you stear clear...your not really missing but
anyway :o)
