Well if they come in here and ask me to take them off the list I will delete
from my object path. Till then I am just doing my own rendition of shrek. It resembles but I wasn't going for an exact copy and what I am selling is my own work. I'm not telling any one that it's the original Shrek. Oh well, lets hope they aren't interested in our low end rwx stuff. :) Imagine [View Quote] Shrek Avatar :)Dec 28, 2004, 5:27pm
Hi :)
I have just changed the name of my work to Shrac. I took all the Shrek stuff out of my path and replaced it with the Shrac name. Like I said I was selling my own modeling and wasn't going for exact copies but just the look. Is every one ok with the name change? If this is still a problem I will delete the Shrac stuff from the path and move on. I wasn't trying to start debates or arguements in the news groups. I understand that and thank you. So, is there a problem with the name change
or is that copywrite infringement? Imagine [View Quote] New avatar for sale :)Jan 27, 2005, 11:19pm

I hate to think this but, Since so many of us in AW received this email,
including me, today, I am thinking that some one in AW may be sending them to people in AW they think or know have paypal to do business in AW. Imagine Since AlphaBit Phalpha requested not to receive any moe emailsMar 12, 2005, 11:46pm
Hi Alphabet Phalpha :)
Since you requested no more emails on this subject I thought I would post this here :) I am rebuilding my world right now and just last week told some one that maybe it will win a CY next year. I'm sorry that won't happen :( But, I do understand that you are just like most of us here and have a busy life out side of AW. I understand that you have personal responsibilities outside of AW just like most of us have. And, because I understand that, I understand why you are letting the Cry's awards go. I am surprised you were able to hold on to it this long. In the nearly 8 years I have been here, I have seen AW Community organizations come and go. Most didn't last a year. I would like to say THANK YOU for doing such a GREAT job for all of us for all these years. And, good luck with your personal business and with what ever you do next for AW. I do hope you are a part of something big in AW again in the future. This is my personal opinion, and every one else can think what they want, but I see no reason why the people who are complaining about your retirement can't go out and organize a new Awards ceremony for the community. I think that people should be wishing you well and thanking you for all you have done over the years. Instead they act like big selfish babies. I think they should just accept the fact that the CY's are retired and move on. To every one else who is bad mouthing Alphabet Phalpha, GET OVER IT! And do something constructive about it, like creating another awards ceremony. Spreading bad feelings. and hurting Alphabet Phalpha just cause her life isn't as empty of personal responsibility as yours is (or at least that's how you make it seem) isn't helping any thing. But it is showing what big selfish babies you are. I know for a fact that there are tons of people out there who go and mope around and complain after each and every CY awards ceremony. That they think it wasn't run right and it was unfare. So do something about it. If an Awards ceremony is so important to you, it shouldn't matter what it is called, as long as there is one. Now is your chance to show every one how much better you think it could have been. Create one of your own. Good God! GROW UP. What you have been doing in those threads is so imiture it's rediculeous there are no words for it. BTW. I dont' know who started the CY awards; I wasn't at the meetings about it. BUT, I have been here all these years and I have seen Alphabet Phalpha running it all these years. Organizing all the web sites, Doing all the hard work of it. I know she starts planning for the following year soon after the awards end. She works all year on it, EVERY YEAR. The rest of the volunteers are just that; Volunteers! There to help in the last month or so of the awards. As far as i'm conserned she owns them, wether her name is on some contract or not. And if she deems it is time to retire the Cry's and her self from it. Then as far as i'm conserned she has EVERY RIGHT. You all should be ashamed of your selves. You should be throughing her a going away or retirement party. Maybe planning a rememberance ceremony for the CY's. But instead you act like 2 year olds, who's best toy was taken away. Again; GROW UP! Sorry Alphabet Phalpha for that but, that's how I feel about it. Imagine To my friends in the community newsgroupApr 5, 2005, 10:15pm

That cruise control has always been there since day 1 of AW. I think it was
put there so the programmers could easily move around in AW while first programming AW. They just forgot to take it out of the programming. I was shown this feature about 7 years ago by one of the regular Alpha World residents. I don't think it was actually meant to be one of the AW features :) But at times it comes in handy so they should put it in the help files. Imagine London bombingsJul 15, 2005, 9:59pm
<<Whats to confuse?>>
Hmmm it seems to me that you are the one confused R I C H A R D, and here is why. <<The point of terrorisum is to cause fear. If fear is produced the attack is susccesful and there is motive for another.>> That part of what you said is in part true. But, the point of terrorism is also to take as many lives and to do as much damage property damage as possible, even if, and in most cases, it means the terrorist takes his own life. <<If no fear is created it is pointless to keep attacking.>> In theory; that statement is true. And, is the best thing to say to keep the general public from panicking. But it is also a blanket statement. I'm sure there is much more to the attacks then JUST trying to generate fear. <<All I say is that why should we let it bother us. <<Why should we cry about every single little thing that happens as that just encourages then to do it again!>> Why. because there is a difference between fear and sympathy. For the attacked city/country as a whole to go about its daily life as if nothing had happened is one thing. It shows that the city/country was not defeated by the insanity and callousness of the attack. That statement <<If no fear is created it is pointless to keep attacking.>> is not telling you to be less human; it's not telling you to feel less for the lose of life from that bombing than you would if some one in your own family had just been killed in an auto accident. It is still OK to feel. It's when we stop feeling sympathy for lose of life that we are doomed as a civilization. That is Why. You were bragging in one of your posts that you would still ride the trains and buses to show those terrorists that you have no fear. Good for you, go for it. But while you are at it, have the courage to show that you have the compassion it takes to show sympathy for those who died and their wounded families. "Showing sympathy is not showing fear; it is showing that you are still human" Humanity is another thing the terrorists are trying to destroy. You are right, they shouldn't be allowed to take our courage, but they shouldn't be allowed to take our humanity either. R I C H A R D, please think before you talk. I'm sure you think you are justified in asking this question <<Why should we cry about every single little thing that happens as that just encourages then to do it again!>> But, I think the children, wives, husbands, brothers, sisters, mothers and fathers of the people who died don't think the lose of their loved ones was a little thing. They have plenty to cry about. I do send my sympathies to them and my condolences, not because I am in fear of the terrorists, but because I am still human, in spite of them. Did that answer your question R I C H A R D? R I C H A R D, a question for you. If on your train or bus travels you should be blown up, wouldn't you want people to care about you, especially your family? I'm sure they would cry over that little thing. Not to say it would in any way be a "little thing" if you were lost too. Imagine Celebrity Encounters?Jul 18, 2005, 5:38pm
I made a custom avatar, a pink flamingo, for Michale Nessmeth, from The
Monkeys, ( please excuse the spelling if I got the name wrong :) about 7 or 8 years ago here in AW. I didn't actually meet "him" because I was dealing with his partner at the time, but I thought that was kind of cool :) Since then he and his partner has moved on to their own AW Uni. I don't recall the name of the uni since it's been so long ago tho. Are there any other celebs in AW, I wonder? Imagine Celebrity Encounters?Jul 18, 2005, 8:32pm

Thank you, that works great in the news groups, but in the news letter it
doesn't work. Well not on my internet explorer Imagine What makes a word bad?Jul 22, 2005, 3:59pm
Hi :)
Have you ever heard the old George Carlen joke that goes something like this? Have you ever notice how, your stuff is shit and my shit is stuff? I thought that was an amusing one liner; and still do. But there are members of my family who thought it was vulgar and inappropriate, and jumped down my thought because I laughed at it. Just thought I would share that with you. :) I believe the question was; what makes a word bad? Well, nothing in it's self. A word is neither good nor bad; it's how you choose to use a word that counts. For instance, I thought, considering the type of jokes that comedian tells; the use of the word shit was appropriate. However; if some one in or out of the net is choosing to type or say words such as shit, f-k, etc. one right after the other, and there is absolutely no reason for the words to be used, then it becomes offensive. When people choose to type or say such words so much that it makes up a majority of the conversation it tells me that that person is limited in his or her vocabulary and mental capability. I am not offended by the occasional cuss word in a conversation, but I would prefer not to try to have conversations with people who are so limited that they choose to cuss their way through conversations; to me, having to put up with that kind of immaturity and ignorance is offensive, and, in my opinion, it's best they choose not to have a conversation at all. Some people use those words to attack other people, knowing they are offensive, and some use them for the shock value, knowing they are offensive; this is also inappropriate, except in a joke where every one is in on the joke, such as the joke I mentioned above. So, what makes a word bad? Only the person using the word. Imagine What makes a word bad?Jul 23, 2005, 1:29am
Sorry about the empty post. I clicked twice on accident. :)
Just wanted to add, there are people out there who will show disgust at, not only vulgar words, but innocent words as well, words such as peanut. I don't know what context you used it in, but apparently that person had their own reasons for thinking it was vulgar; the reasons you described. The people I am talking about are the ones who have dirty minds and hide it, claiming to be pure minded them selves. These people will hear a word used in an innocent way and in their minds turn it into something dirty. Only because they have the dirty minds. Not because they misunderstood. It's over 90 degrees right now and I hope I said that right lol Please excuse me if I didn't. Imagine what does this mean?Aug 3, 2005, 6:57pm
