-Mark Re: and yet another great idea from my dark and twisted mind, lol :PJul 6, 2002, 7:18am
Besides, as we disscussed in awteen. Its cheeper to give it em on CD,
include about 5 OP's, all the bots and the entire aw website. Outer WorldsJul 6, 2002, 8:13am
Spamming about his companies, advertising other universes.
It bugs me allot Outer WorldsJul 6, 2002, 8:30am
I do selectivly, say stupid threads such as his company...
But it shouldent be on here at all Outer WorldsAug 14, 2002, 5:37pm
Eh? Sorry to bring up a old post but ive only just downloaded the NG again after a reformat, are you saying you dont get land / much land in in OW? As a person who owns about p-70 of builds thoughout AW / AWTeen I think thats nuts
- Mark [View Quote] Strange waste of storageJul 10, 2002, 7:29pm
I was just poking around with a compression format that im doing that
reduces any repeated strings in binary strings to tags. I just removed about 200kb from a MP3 with no loss of quallity or data, no jumps or skips or any differnt whatsoever. Strange little Mp3s... anyone know why if you remove the repear chr(0) strings from EXEs it screwes em up beyond repear (Without the unpacker) but mp3s are fine? - Mark Strange waste of storageJul 13, 2002, 12:46pm
Its ZIPed anyway, maybe compressing the EXE as well would be effective
TechTalk?Jul 12, 2002, 10:54pm
Well it was said to be E N Z O talk.. but considering he aint actually in
the company anymore >_< erm... - Mark TechTalk?Jul 13, 2002, 5:48am
Actually I got challanged by the SDK, why be scared of something you can
have so much control over? Anyhow, dont think im constantly insulting u carl, its just I think your in way over your head and I always see the posts you make that verrify it such as, "I think this may be the beginning of new managment for AW", which is so blacently obvious because it says it on the the document and anyone with a reading age of 8 could work that 1 out. So dont take it personal :) Tis just just the conciquences of age and actions - Me TechTalk?Jul 13, 2002, 12:10pm
If myself and several other people were constantly insulting Carl, we
wouldent be doing it only when he makes a rediclous post on the NG. And yes, ive seen allot of people older than carl who make stupid posts. A reading age of 8 has nothing to do whatsoever with real age its a generalisation of ability. Insulting for the sake of insulting IS person, commenting that includes a oposition to a person or a persons thoughs / comments and is backed up by reasoning is not As for this... It bares no relevance whatsoever and i have no idea where you got it from =oD > are you saying it's natural and okay to constantly insult 12 year old kids? new password theif?Jul 29, 2002, 5:26pm
'Paranoid Mode' - This special feature blocks everyone and everything unless
you explicitly allow them to communicate with you at all. Tony Laddie wrote > hence why i block all outside contact unless i explicitly allow it :) Killing my ProcessorJul 27, 2002, 9:12am
Just a quick question, does anyone else find aw has rediclously high
processor usage nowerdays. Im currently looking at a screen loading cache so its mostly white.. and my processor has been at 100% ever since i came into aw this last few sessions. Now that would be normal in a little 500mhz system. But im on a 1.8Ghz that runs at 2.0Ghz and if i push it upto about 2.6 - 3Ghz it still is using 100% processor power. Anyone have any idea why? Intel P4 1.8Ghz 512Mb RAM w/ 1.024GB RAM available GeForce2 MX 440 32Bit Color 1024x768 Screen Resolution 512kb Cache rate Killing my ProcessorJul 27, 2002, 2:29pm
P4's can be overclocked to 3.4 with a good fan and cooling system (which I
have). And its XP Pro btw Killing my ProcessorJul 27, 2002, 3:45pm
I agree, id rather have gone for the AMD 1800 but couldent get it anyway,
and XP Pro is definatly the best platform.. try getting most apps to run on a Linux, lol Killing my ProcessorJul 27, 2002, 6:47pm
Well XP and 2000 are based on the same root kernel so id expect em to be
pritty similar in reliability terms. In regards to the interface, The XP 1 should be wiped off the face of the planet, I have the classic setup. When all the games etc gain compatability for windows without emulation maybe things will get allot better. - Mark Killing my ProcessorJul 28, 2002, 8:34am
Is anyone really going to run their computer non stop for that long anyway?
Chances are you will get a power outage or have to restart it for some reason due to that. As a standard for things like servers linux beats the hell out of Windows because windows just wasnt designed for it. Joe is worried about all the "spyware" in Windows XP, well their own policy means you have to be told about every single bit of info regarding what your doing. And if even thats too much, do the obvious thing, find out which DLL is sending the crap, open it in res edit or binary and rip out or edit a few resource strings which point to microsoft, with any luck you will screw its reporting features up so bad it wont send anything. Also, dissable things like keep track of your records, kill cookies and any ad/spy-ware and turn of things that can directly ID you such as windows media player... another hint for people like Joe cause its probably highly related to him (sorry mate, couldent resist).. is dont go downloading things like "The free porn dialer - for all your hardcore needs" cause as soon as you get a cookie with at sextracker on it ur life and ur POP3 will become worthless. To my knowlegde Windows 2000 is also the NT5 kernel.... the business 1 vs the piece of crap Win 9x. Its inherantly more stable if you use it right than the 9x platforms which would get a blue screen of death every time it found a binary bit out of place. - Mark *Does anyone else think Joe dosent like me?* Killing my ProcessorJul 28, 2002, 1:47pm
Over half of XP machines are cracked anyway o_0, besides, just use a
firewall to block the strings Killing my ProcessorJul 28, 2002, 2:22pm
To my knwledge Windows does not support ant other way of sending data except
though the kernel and winsock - mark Bowen said: That doesn't make it right to do. Firewalls may not be able to detect it. Microsoft would have thought ahead for that one. Killing my ProcessorJul 28, 2002, 2:36pm
Yeah, but unless their is yet another file system ive had pritty much every
single file open in hex by "a slip of my hex editor folder command" and I dont see anything, but if there is ms gets shut down for breaking the constitution |
