I just upgraded my Xelag bot and noticed that in the middle of a
conversation with someone my bot starts responding. For instance, "I notice that all the time" my bot starts to respond with time. This can get quite annoying. Bug? Fyrene BirthdayJul 26, 1998, 4:45pm
Happy birthday, Ho. :))
Fyrene [View Quote] > Today is my birthday. ---------------------------------------- When your dreams turn to dust, vacuum :) Custom avs are here! - yippee!Nov 29, 1998, 7:50am
As a world owner, I tend to agree with Deans point of view. When I go world
hopping, I enjoy being able to check out the owners selection of avatars and a lot of worlds have designed their avas to go with the theme of their world. I can't imagine a bikini clad "babe" or a guy with a maple leaf covering his private parts running around in Outland. Just wouldnt .... fit the theme :)) If citizens select to use their own custom avas, and decide to not go into a world, or leave a world simply because the owner has turned off an option for custom avas, well, then they could be missing a great experience in a world that could be quite exciting with much to offer :)) I would prefer to see an option for the owner to turn on or off custom avas :)) Fyrene [View Quote] > Dean, first off I think you need to just calm down a little, c'mon man, > breathe...IN and out...yes that's it .. relax ... your freedoms aren't being > compromised yet, so just chill on the revolution. > > Ok next, I think custom avs should be aloud in any world, why? Actually, I find it quite entertaining at times. Eep used to slam people for
emoticons. As you can see lately, Eep is emoting :) I just bring a bag of popcorn and a hotdog and enjoy. Ummmm. Anyone got grey_poupon.rwx?? ;) Fyrene <snip> Quick PollMay 30, 2000, 11:30am
C revised a little. Its not that I dont like the new textures, but the old
textures should have been left alone and new textures offered. Imagine what it would be like if objects were suddenly changed. Like the squarish arches became suddenly roundish at the tops. Builders used create animates to get a certain "look" to their creations. Changing the textures may have destroyed that "look". Offer the new textures under diff names, just as you offered new objects to be used. My opinion only :) Fyrene [View Quote] I can't get into AW00Oct 15, 2000, 7:16pm
Typo! AV00. Blame the keyboard :))
Nope. No probs here. But I think I saw you in there a bit ago. Congrats!! Seems you made it :)) Fyr well I missed the awards...Oct 16, 2000, 4:14am
A friend of mine had the same problem. Seems he was using a firewall proggie
(forgot the name of the proggie) and had to disable it to stay in. > I really can't figure out what was wrong, but I could never get into > AV00 or AV00avvy... or what ever it was called. I agree about the drop in price. I myself purchased for the original price
and feel it was well worth the investments. However, it is up to the developer to decide on what price he/she wants to sell. I think the tradgedy here is lifting the security he originally had on it. That is something that I would like to see reinstated. People who can afford the $20 per year AW citizenship can afford the $20 Accutrans fee. Wayne!! Knock, knock. Put it back!! As far as spokesperson for Accutrans, hasnt been anyone cept Casay. This part posted by Insanity: 2. Our belief is this, Wayne lowered the price to $20.00 because of all the incorrect feedback and pain in the butt whining he was receiving from an out of control, I want to be noticed, type of girl. I believe that was more of a personal comment than anything else. If Insantiy was speaking on behalf of Heartfall, then that comment was completely uncalled for and quite unprofessional. I agree an apology is owed to Casay. Thanks, Casay, for taking your time to keep us informed on Accutrans, and for your helpful hints you are posting now in this newsgroup! My 2.5 cents Fyrene Re: moving jpgsNov 9, 2000, 4:33pm
Have you ever heard of Animcart? Its a proggie I got some time ago,
freeware. Cant find it on the web these days (there is an animcart proggie on the web, but its not the same one). Anyway, you use 128x128 bmp's. It will align your bmps up to make your animation. The final product you just resave as jpg. Its awesome and very easy to use. If you would like this proggie, let me know and I will email it to you with instructions. Fyrene Re: moving jpgsNov 11, 2000, 1:26am
Shouldnt be a prob. Its freeware stuff. I shall let all know where it will
be posted to :) Fy > This sounds like a popular utility fyrene. I must admit to being interested > myself. > > Is there a web-site you could post it to - to save you having to e-mail it > all over the place (assuming that isn't gonna drop you in some trouble). > > Grims AnimcartNov 11, 2000, 7:45pm
Ok. For those of you interested in checking out Animcart , Andras has been
kind enough to post the zip file on his site. You can get it at: http://andras.net/tools/animcart.zip If you havent been to his site, check it out! He has some awesome little proggies there. Thank you Andras!!! Fyrene AnimcartNov 11, 2000, 11:48pm
In a recent posting in the community newsgroup there is a thread regarding
animated jpgs. If you read that thread, you will understand what this proggie is about :) Fyrene Christmas goodiesNov 12, 2000, 9:08am
Thank you, Lady Murasaki for your wonderful Christmas gifts. Along these
same lines, I give these gifts to those who can use them. They are sprites that can be used on any size object of your own choice, anim panels or walls. You can download these from: http://3d.no-where.net/seasonal/index.htm I wish to thank Someonein3D (AKA Charlie) for posting these on his site. Check it out. He has some great free stuff there :)) Fyrene World Theft.. more to come...Dec 12, 2000, 4:13pm
>VR Times Square was and is built solely and wholey by myself with the sweat
of my own brow < Ummm. You took and paid for those trips to NY??? The theme for that world was yours? You put money into buying that world? You created those models for USE in NY world. There is where those objects should stay. As stated already, you need to use your own original ideas for your new world. This is a tragedy. :( Fyrene To Legion and USWFDec 16, 2000, 2:46am

Wouldnt it have been more appropriate for the GK to do what they are
supposed to be doing at the gate?? Greeting visitors and helping the newbies out? Wouldnt it have been more appropriate for the GK to have just said "Yes, gays are allowed. There are gay communities such as Pink Village (give coords and other coords if other gay communities exist) and if you click on your world tab to the left of the browser, you will see Gay World."?? This person wasnt chatting about his sexual preference. He merely asked a question which could have been answered more appropriately by the GK. Had he been directed in such a manner, he would have probably teleported directly to those coords and this terrible incident would not have happened, either at the Gate or in that other world. Ummm, are you using browser AW 3.0?? Wasnt there something mentioned about
not using the animated pointers etc?? I had to change mine to the dreary nonanimated ones and my mouse worked fine after that. Fyrene NEWS FLASH FOR NAPSTER USERS!Feb 13, 2001, 4:29pm
Im not a Napster user, but Ive heard they are going thru some probs. Its
posts like these that keep me informed :) So, "everyone" doesnt know :) Fyrene [View Quote] NEWS FLASH FOR NAPSTER USERS!Feb 13, 2001, 9:11pm
Thanks, Bit! I just didnt know how to put it in the right words. You hit the
spot in regards to "on-topic" posting. I was a little confused as to the reference to "on-topic" in this community newsgroup. I appreciate Facter pointing this out, but I didnt understand how this was off-topic. Fyrene [View Quote] 3.1 Complaints *sigh*Feb 14, 2001, 6:07pm
I read his post too and didnt think he was rude at all either. Bad PMS day,
Myssie?? Fyrene :) Attn: MyrthFeb 18, 2001, 2:53am
Saw your posting in the beta ng. I had that prob and Roland came into my
world so we could figure it out. Textures I could see fine in 2.2 and 3.0, I couldnt see in 3.1. Not all textures were affected. If I turned mipmap off I could see all the textures, but not with that smooth look mipmap does to it. Also, found that if the textures were not 128x128 or 256x256 or 512x512 then I couldnt see the texture in 3.1 Once I resized the textures to those dimensions, then I could see them in 3.1 I still dont understand why I could see the textures that were not those dimensions in 3.0 but not 3.1 now. My vid card is 3D Blaster Banshee PCI 16meg. Its a perfectly good card, updated drivers, and seems a shame I have to change it cause of how it affects AW. Ah well. Fyrene Attn: MyrthFeb 18, 2001, 5:31am
LOL Wouldnt you know it. I didnt realize it was "that" old. Okies. Talked me
into it. I should remember that computer things are outdated the day after you buy it! I guess I should have realized that when the last driver updates were 1999. I checked Mauz's page on recommendations for cards. How about the S3 Savage 4? Any good?? Fyrene [View Quote] CopyrightMar 3, 2001, 7:54pm
