The BOTs invading AW !

Feb 4, 1999, 4:33pm
....and Don't forget Rossum! (of RUR - Rossum's Universal Robots)

BTW, tho I've said it elsewhere, I want to say, from within our New Bots
newsgroup, THANKS, ROLAND! Now, we bot users have a place where we can
exchange, dialogue and help each other, and leave those poor harried bot
developers to their work (don't worry, Canopus & XetaG, I'll still pay
social visits!)

To start: I have written a little routine (actually, it's more of a method)
for emulating a "GoSub" from within HamBot. The same algorithm could also
be used to do For/Next loops. Is anyone interested in me posting it here?
I also encourage others to share their little gems!

Salutations,

May I remind folks that there is a SDK ng available for bot _builders_, most
(or all) of whom are using SDK.

The intention of this 'bots' ng is for bot _users_. If there are comments
and suggestions on how to build scripts, or questions on how to use a bot
program, this is the place; dialogues on building bots (or suggestions for
future bots) should be in the SDK ng, IMO.

Thank you, and have a virtual day!

Fair enough, Andreas - I see your point! I waited this long to reply, to
see if anyone else gave similar feedback, but they haven't; quite possibly,
they agree by their silence!

Yes, I retract my statement that this ng should be only for bot users, and
not bot builders, although I hope that people will judicious in their
decision to post messages in SDK versus Bots, and vice-versa, so that Bots
doesn't just turn into a subset of SDK, thus making it so full of SDK-like
threads, that bot-use messages get lost in the shuffle.

Peace,
-Turbulence

Thank you, Roland! I noticed that this message was not posted to "Beta",
where I started my thread, so I'll just plug it there, and close up there.

Salutations,
Turbulence
