Options, Settings, Video: put a checkmark in "Hardware T&L Support" box,
if you have a sufficiently new graphics card (most do).

Worlds list: you must resize the Worlds column by dragging
the narrow vertical line between column headers to right.
This was noted during beta but unfortunately never fixed.

About the floating tab window: well you just have to resize it
and move it to the side for now, maybe they'll redesign it for 3.6.

checkbox on or off. Or choose OpenGL instead.
Software mode is compatible with any video card, but slow.
If you install AW again, put it into a new folder this time.

So, you don't check "Remember password for next time" at login?

And as usual, make sure your virus and firewall protection is up to date.

I don't know why they skipped the public beta phase;
maybe because 3.6 is really about just one new command,
so they thought they can handle bug reports through
the normal channels and possibly release minor patches later.
Alpha testing is just for the geeks and other masochists anyway,
because in that stage the browser is still crashingly buggy.

Kudos to chrispeg and other programmers and contributors,
I think they did a great job in such a short time :)

Now closed beta would be different, one where they announce that
they are accepting applications, choose a diverse bunch of testers,
and then the reports and comments must be posted to the beta newsgroup
for all the testers to see.

Can you play NSV streams with Windows Media Player?
Or in Internet Explorer, with some ActiveX plug-in or like?
If not, then AWI might have to buy (?) code from Nullsoft.
Microsoft has made it easier to use IE and WMP calls in programs.

How about media command? Which operating systems, which sound cards?

My SoundBlaster Live worked fine with W98 and MediaPlayer 6.4,
but kept crackling and slowing down with XP and MediaPlayer 9.
Around the same time came AW 3.5 with CPU throttle that allocates
less processor time for AW, dunno if that had any effect.
Anyway, I bought SB Audigy, and sounds work fine now.
Radeon 9600 Pro video card.

Or make a search for avatars.dat in Windows Explorer
and delete them from Search Results window.
That way they go to Recycle Bin first, if that feels safer.
You can save the search from File menu for later use.
Dunno, how do you usually delete files?
