This is yet another post on the AWCamp situation. I cannot believe the way
the event was run, it's utterly appalling. The judging, especially I am
disappointed with; it seems that the fort that won (fort3) didn't win
because it was the best fort but merely because the judges liked those
campers the best. There is no doubt that AlaskanShadow and I are the most
hated people by KBK and Trishia, she ejected me a number of times for
calling her "dyslexic lady", yes an immature name but she got really pissed
at me for it. She can barely work bots correctly, and her spelling/grammar
is awful. I'm not one to judge grammar/spelling etc since my own isn't
exactly perfect but in every sentence that she'd type there would be an
error of some kind. AWCamp seems to be more of a popularity contest more
than anything, it's a shame how something that's meant to be a fun event for
the youth of activeworlds has turned into such a waste of time. If the
judges and counsellors weren't complete morons then maybe it would have been
a lot more fun.
Our fort (fort1) had n00bs for builders, Xblacker for example got really
pissed and started a huge argument with AS and myself just because we had
decided, along with another fort member to redesign the fort. CHERi Luv had
to disable building to get him to calm down. He was even evil enough to
drive Cem (a good friend of mine) to request to change forts. I think that
n00bs shouldn't be allowed in AWCamp especially if, like Xblacker, they don'
t even know what masks are. The whole idea is to build a world, and if they
can't even do that it's totally pointless.
I am upset that our fort didn't even get a single prize. I have looked at
other scrap books, and they are all fairly n00bish and poorly put together.
AS' scrap book on the other hand was extremely professional-looking. Since
AS and I worked flat out for over week to get the fort done (since we were
the only ones making it) we deserve something. There is no doubt about it
our fort was the best; we are experienced, kick ass builders and our fort
definitely pwnd everyone else's. This is definitely a popularity contest and
it's disappointing to see that AWI let morons like trish and kbk be in
charge of such a major event, and how they allow them to be so obviously
biased towards their favourite campers about the judging.
People reading this may consider me as poor loser, well yes perhaps I am but
I am only annoyed that the fort3 won for the wrong reasons, and that the
judging is completely biased. Some of the counselors evern went out of their
way to help their forts and campers win, by partcipating in events designed
for campers and giving their prizes towards a member of their fort. To forts
whose counselors are fairly lax, this is so unfair.

Whenever I go to a built up area (like any of ferruccio's builds) my music
starts playing REALLY slowly. It's not just my computer, it happened on my
old one, my dad's current one, and several of my friend's computers that
I've been on AW with. I was just wondering if there's any way to stop it? It
usually plays faster with the visiblity on like 30, but I remember in
previous versions of AW my sound has been fine. I only noticed it when the
version where terrain/newaw etc were introduced which was in october '02 i
think.

what the hell is up with the AFantasy contest?!??!! Builds like spyder's
didnt even get a prize, yet his build was clearly the best... it was
original and imaginative, with excellent attention to detail UNLIKE the
winner, Chrystal. Her house looked exactly like the template house at GZ!!!
All she did was copy the house Sexy Eyes built at GZ and furnished it, how
the heck does that make her the best builder in the contest? Either this
contest was staged to get out of paying the $100, I don't know but whatever
it is totally unfair...
Chrystal's house is at AFantasy 64S 44W
Spyder's house - AFantasy 15S 68E 1.3a

;_; at ferr's badass clock not being used in the actual GZ because of "lag
issues" ie people whose computers are more than 3 years old. Take a look at
AWTeen 2640.00N 2060.00E -0.18a 0, that was the GZ Ferruccio and I had
originally designed, and the clock is definitely the best part! Also, the
current use of the picture centre as a teleport centre isn't so great... the
picture centre was so popular before and I doubt ferr's build just north of
gz will be appreciated as much as it would if it was a picture centre X_X

ferr's computer is over 2 years old and he had no lag :o
