Having been in AW for nearly a year now, I'm surprised to find such
infantile antics in what is called a "news"group! But I will do as I was
taught and not waste significant time on insignificant people with
insignificant thoughts. I need to get back to DLP and host a Mother's Day
activity that was originally to have been hosted by one of AW's top cits who
also has a DLP cit and a world there.This makes that cit no different than
at least 20 others on my contact list alone!! Many of which are the top
modelers and community leaders in AW.

It isn't hard to figure out. You are greeted at the gate politely and made
to feel welcome. You are supplied with full instructions on what is
available to do and how to navigate DLP. You may even be accompanied by a
personal tour guide. You can chat at Portal without having your ears burned
with language not fit for the street! If you stay, you know that you can
trust your friends, that some of the top builders around are world owners,
that your children will always be a priority there and there will always be
someone willing to help you out or answer any question.

I guess the only people who miss out on the benefits of belonging to such a
place are the ones who waste their time laughing over nothing!

Could you please define corrupt for me? Or do you know the definition?

Way to go, Mix!!! I agree totally. Enough is enough! This subject has more
threads than grandma's quilt!

As for you Brock, you said you had "proof". If you destroyed proof of such a
twisted wrong doing, then that is more evidence of your genius which has
had us all in awe the last few days.If it was not destroyed......show it or
forget it. This subject is getting very very tired.

What started out as a simple post announcing the offering of free sprites
has turned into a three ring circus! Quite frankly, I'm shocked that it has
been allowed to go on this long.

linn.......you were NOT talking to Brock. If you were, you send it to Brock.
The system asks you if you want to send to the entire group and you
apparently said yes or your post would not be here!

Now can we please move on? Enough with the trash calling, mud slinging,
false accusing! At this point, I'm ashamed to be associated with AW and it's
bloody newgroup!!

Awwww, I didn't for a second think it was a joke, but I found it interesting
and amusing at the same time. If a few spiders gathered and watched a bunch
of humans under the influence of the same drugs, I bet they's be laughing
their "weavers" off!! LOL!

Free Models......that normally gets the attention of any world owner. So how
many have visited the world Freebies? And of those, how many have downloaded
models? While you were there, did you see the sign that mentioned ever so
discreetly that IF you ever felt you could or wanted to help maintain the
world you could send money via PayPal to help support it? And of those who
did, who all has sent assistance?
I have no idea how many have visited, nor how many downloads have taken
place since the creation of Freebies, but I DO know how many have
volunteered to help.
Count Dracula doesn't have to provide this service. But he does. He does
all the web searching. He does all the converting if necessary. He does all
the uploading, using his path. That is HIS privately owned world. He is just
kind and generous enough to let us in!
Recently more and more modelers have contributed models to be displayed in
Freebies. But they don't go unrewarded. Their name is displayed as is a sign
that leads to their website and a teleport to their showcase world. I think
that is also called "free" advertising.
So who is supporting all of this? The world owner.
I've seen a lot of caring and charitable things take place as a result of
NG discussion. I'd like to see another. There is no way I could pay for all
I've taken from Freebies, but I can send a few dollars. And if everyone who
takes from there sent even a portion of the probable cost of just one model,
it would add up fast! So I am challenging everyone who has ever taken a
model from Freebies world to send a contribution to dracula at netsonic.fi .
Whether $2 or $20 does not matter. This world is up for renewal within days.
Although CD would never ask, and would renew anyway if at all possible,
please help keep Freebies there for all of us for years to come and say
Thanks, CD !! :)

When oh when will this beast of an argument lay down and be still?!! A few
months back, I recall an innocent well meaning post about free sprites
turning into a never ending free for all that produced enough threads to
make a 4 piece suit. Heeeeeeeeeeere we go again!

Paul made his complaint. Lars had his rebuttal. Paul had his redirect. Now
here we are 3 days and countless threads later reading the same crap in caps
no less!

Meanwhile, genuine questions, people who really need assistance and real
honest to goodness news posts get outweighed and overlooked due to all the
"hogging" for soap box sermonizers!

I personally will immediately delete without reading anything further about
copyright arguments. The subject is exhausted as am I! May we move on
PLEASE !!!!!

Give me a break!! There is no parallel at all! A wordless gram out of
nowhere from someone too rude to answer. How in the heck do you compare that
to smiling to someone on the street?? That person you would see and know who
was smiling and that it was a genuine smile. I don't know any incendium. Yet
that name not only sent me a :) gram but is now on my contact list. That was
disconcerting! If that person on a NY street had a bag over their head to
hide their identity and whispered your name.........would you still have "a
great rest of the day" ?

Don't forget..........not everyone received a smile. Many received blank
emails.

Well, you seem to have become a self appointed defense spokesperson and
soapbox cheerleader. I will drop it here. But before you declare it an
innocent well meaning gesture, you may want to speak with the many, many who
were disturbed by it and found it strange to say the least. What WAS my
response to it? Silence. I didn't ask him to answer after the fact. I don't
know him. But for someone who attempted to speak "metaphorically" just two
posts ago.........you missed this one by a mile! Annoying grams with no
words of intent, whether it was a blank window or a smiley, from a name you
have never heard of is NOT an innocent gesture. And can be just as eerie as
the whispered voice on your metaphorical street!

I'm not really sure how Lyr's announcement was hidden under another thread,
but it definitely is not getting the attention it deserves. I just spent a
good number of hours there on the treasure hunt and had a great time! It
definitely is challenging and rewarding! The prizes are great! Give it a try
:))

I'm not telling them not to post! Grief!! I'm asking for a little common
sense to know when enough on one subject is enough! Did I not just read a
post of yours somewhere that indicated you were leaving AW because you were
sick of the childlike antics and bad mouthing that goes on in here? Well,
I'm not leaving! Not yet anyway. And I do like to read newsgroups for new
information and tips and word about friends who have had a success or have a
problem. But I grow weary of the fighting and bickering and can clearly see
that posts of "good news" and "fun times" get plowed over by all the
rhetorical junk that only takes up space. How many ways can you say the same
thing?! No, I don't pretend to own the mute button on NG....so, my friend ,
I DO know where my "rights" begin and end.

My, my casey!! How familiar this looks!! I find this and the subsequent
posts from you most interesting coming from the one who single handedly
fabricated , announced and perpetuated the "unfortunate death" of Chris aka
Rebel01 not so long ago!!

The outpouring of tears, sympathy and admonishment for anyone who would do
such a thing is the most hysterically hypocritical thing I've seen yet in
