[NG Survivor 2] The ULTIMATE Survivor

Nov 6, 2002, 2:21pm
Congratulations Builderz!:)

Need Your Input Please:)

Nov 5, 2002, 3:15pm
Daphne,

Let me ask you......if the Cys stayed CommunitY and another awards
organization was started. Would it then be acceptable?
What I am getting at is....say there was this awards organization...and
it became an umbrella to all different kinds of awards events...like Adult
themed...Teen themed...Sport themed...Pokemon themed....etc etc.
And say this umbrella organization was more IRL where a group of
experianced non biased people made the winners selections.
And say this umbrella organization also maybe acted as organizers
assisting those that wanted to hold thier own awards.
And say this awards organization was in no way tied into the Cy's.
Do you think there would be any complaints?
Please let me know your take on this.
I would appreciate everyone's opinion also:)

Thanks in advance for all input:)

Daphne's Bingo Topic

Ohhhh...this reminds me of that wonderful world building contest they had a
couple years ago!...Cool!
Daphne...can you please email Tex your ideas and see what he says?
He's the boss on that one:)...well after Flagg of course:)

So, Christmas, a time of joy...

King Tex and I will be spending our Christmas with NutherBit Phalpha in
Apache Junction AZ., stopping along the way to spend a couple days with
JRock and Casey.
From there we will be decorating floats for the Pasadena Rose Parade.Tex and
his Mother have been decorating floats and running the flower barn for it
for 16 years now.
Last year we did the Chrystal Cathedral south of Anahiem Christmas Eve.
My goodness what a marvel it is to see!
It's the story of Jesus with live camels and elephants on stage!
And the coolest thing is they fly about 15 angels over the audience at a
very fast speed and looks sooooo real!
If any of you live in that area and haven't seen it...I highly recommend
it:)

anything posted by AlphaBit Phalpha or Antigone:)
That should clear a few posts:)

E N Z O...I implore you to reconsider on the Cy's rating.
If the Cys have an adult themed world win and all that happens on stage is
the Recipient receiving their award, it would seem harmless?
What will be created other wise is an elimination of teens participation
should the Cys decide to allow adult themed worlds to participate:(

I think where we were would be a ton more better than where we are going:(

Linn....what were looking at here is this possible scenario;

1. Cys decide to allow adult themed worlds to participate
a. No person under 18 would be in attendance.
b. No person under 18 would be allowed to participate for an award.
We have very talented and giving young adults in activeworlds!
Why eliminate them when the only thing they would be exposed to is a
persons name and award?

I might add to Goobs post;

If we lock the Cy doors to young adults, we would be starting some really
big issues here.

For instance, this newsgroup.

The topic "Gor" or even "Adult theme" or any other word that can possibly
peak a child's interest in "exploring" the Activeworlds universe would need
to be monitored to block any chances a young adult might see it.

In a past thread it was mentioned and agreed that the ngs had created as
much if not more interest for our children to see what the heck we are
talking about.

E N Z O....we are leaving ourselves wide open to having to police anything
in here that people can find abusive in their views.

A ton of topics just because of an inserted innocent word could become
taboo.

Then there is the monitoring of what is said on radio stations throughout AW
worlds.

The Cys have never been biased against anything. They have existed because
of that non bias....and of course the CommunitY's love for them:)

Please E N Z O....pleeease reconsider.

Yes Elyk,

We never had this much uproar before:(
The Cys have never had an age limit even on the volunteers.
There are some wonderful young adults who also would have to be let go:(
And also some other groups that would have to stop participating.
AWTeen has become a great yearly preshow hosting world that would have
to cease it's hosting of it.
*feeling a lil sick in the tummy right now*

Hmmmm....good point ncc...raises a question.
Would the Cy Awards be able to post the winners publicly?
Seems that would be the same as announcing them at the ceremony.
Maybe the Cys would need an x-rated page for adult viewers only?
Oh boy...how would that be monitored?

Newsgroups

Nov 7, 2002, 11:50am
Well...then basically the adult world Cys would move away from the Cys
entirely as I see it?

From posts in the past people seemed upset that there are even adult worlds
in the aw universe.
Would the next outcry be for aw to remove adult themed worlds from the aw
universe?

I don't think removing adult themed worlds from the Cys would settle the
main concerns for some folks in the community.

I don't think some folks would be truly happy until adult themed worlds were
completely removed from our universe.

But that's just my observation from all the past history regarding them:)

Oh...and since I have seen adult type chat in citbingo, I would like to
request there be a world rating on citbingo...that or under 18 bingo and
over 18 bingo please:)

Newsgroups

Nov 7, 2002, 11:07pm
Wrong Elyk...as long as adult content chat happens in any world where under
18 years old might visit, then same rules would apply.
And not trying to redirect people...just trying to bring to the surface
where other places are going to be effected so they can possibly prepare.

That's going to be a VERY hard decision for them to make jstone:(
Not only would teens be banned from attending but could not act anymore as
volunteers on the team nor hold the awteen preshow party.
I will be acting as advisor with TZ and CW and Weebs, so lets cross our
fingers I can help them to make everyone happy:)
