Yes and the only way to fix it is to propdump the world, erase world, and
reload propdump. At least that is the only way I know of to fix it. And
this is also why one should keep backups as if the datbase is corrupted
enough so that it won't do a propdump, then you are up a creek as they say.

Well, it is visible in the list now. However it is closed, and it has not
been open since the universe message advertising it came on (nor was it open
for awhile before that, I assume they were working on it). Hmm perhaps they
turned up the pixel brightness too much and blew a fuse? LOL

Get over it.

Mar 9, 2002, 10:22pm
Hello all,
I heard about this recently so I thought I would clear things up (and this
is the first time I have posted in these newsgroups). The message below is
indeed from me and shows my thoughts on the issue. And please note that the
response was not directly just at Aine but at everyone on the AW mailgroup.
I did not just send it to her but everyone and my response was in regards to
Aine's "my thoughts letter". My posted response (the same that is listed
below) was a few days after her original letter, as I was behind in my email
(which I mentioned)

Also please note that I signed it DB --NOT-- SW Chris. I never said I
was Chris. I have been DB Digital since I came to AW over 2 years ago. And
never changed my name. Many people can vouch that we are two separate
individuals. Also note (as Chris points out later in this thread) that the
email addresses are quite different.

I hope that this clears up this misunderstanding.

P.S. Just a suggestion but I find it very useful: always read the signature
and email to know where a email is from ;)

Effects I'd like to get ahold of...

I always wondered how to do that. Thanks!

OK, what have we learned this weekend?

Dec 1, 2003, 3:08pm
Yes very true. I leared that one long ago when I was looking through my
cache cleaning it out of old world downloads and noticed that all the seq
and wav's were there as normal files. Needless to say I fixed that in short
order, repassworded and changed all the other files slightly. I never could
understand why seq were never protected like avatars, objects, and texture
masks can be. Seq can take a long time to make and can often be used with
many different avatars (perhaps not perfectly but close enough). The same
goes for custom wav sounds.

AW 3.5?

LOL! With all the typos in here, it will probably overload the browser,
univ, and worlds LOL.

Weird AW problem NEEDS fixed, please help

Dec 29, 2003, 2:33pm
I also ran into this problem and I had to delete the telegrams.idx and
telegrams.dat to get it to save telegrams again. I only ran into this once
though in all the years I have been here. So it seems to be a preaty rare
thing (at least in my experence).

Thnx AW !

The X-1 can do that. It will easily erase all the terrain (or back it up
first if you wish) in just 3 seconds or so.

M A T T situation

Jan 15, 2004, 1:02am
I just wish to say THANK YOU! I have been watching these problems with
growing concern, and I am glad that it is finally taking a turn for the
better. There is not any fun in a community where you have to watch your
back every second or your work will be stolen and or destroyed.

Perhaps now we can make a community that we are all proud of.
