Activeworlds Corp. seems determined to prove they can do as they please when
they please without consulting World Owners. This is just another example of their poor and inconsiderate management. Basic good manners are free and promote good customer relations. When will they learn to listen those that provide the income that pay their wages, to consult us and to inform us and explain their intentions? Using please and thankyou might be a good place AW Corp. to start on the long slow trail to regain the confidence of us their customers, for without us AW Corp. employees will soon be no more than an unemployment statistic. iCandy Cy Nominations WithdrawnSep 15, 2002, 7:53pm
Andras,
This isn't actually the case. My world appeared in the original list of nominations, for several reasons I decided that I would prefer that it wasn't carried forward, I grammed AlphaBitPhalpha, explained my reasons and they graciously agreed to my request. Since AlphaBit left the CY's there appears to be a degree of inconsistency and disorganisation that wasn't evident over the past couple of years. Hopefully as the new team becomes more experienced the current plethora of teething problems will be eliminated and we will be left with an award system that we all can value and agree is worthwhile. > To Kerstin and Wizard: > Well,,,,, > Where do I start ? > Hmmm - first of all you can't revoke your "nominee" status since it is not established by you but by the > public. > You can have only one choice: Do not accept the award if you win it (note the conditional sentence). > Anything else? .... Be proud that you were nominated! > The Problem With TouristsFeb 12, 2003, 8:47pm
I used to use this method of avoiding spam myself before a friend pointed
out that there is a www.nowhere.com and consequently the owner of the domain is probably receiving yours, mine and tens of thousands of other peoples spam! J > Great idea hon but as many here can probably tell you, it IS possible to use > nobody at nowhere.com as an email address. My husband uses it once in a while > and so do I. Cuts down on spam and is acceptable by most websites. If > somebody wants to post porn, I don't think there is too much that can be > done about it, unfortunately, cept maybe people constantly visiting the area > and looking for any unusual signs, etc. Sad I know. ;-"< > FarewellAug 23, 2004, 7:56am
As I will not be renewing my citizenship when it expires on Friday I would
like to thank all of the friends and acquaintances I have made in AW for their companionship and kindness over the past four years. Best wishes for the future. |
