GREAT Place!! I telegrammed Stacee (AWI Programmer) from the AW universe,
and she said it is a valid Universe and she thought I should check it out
with the new 4.1 features. So this is NOT from SL or anyone else.
I highly recommend checking it out.

To my knowledge, only .rwx and .cob files can be used as objects in the AW
browser. And when using a .cob file in your world, make sure and type ".cob"
at the end of the name or it will think it is an ".rwx" file and won't load,
for those that don't have their files registered.

Hi all,
For over 2 months now, I have been working on a world named Martians. It's
not really like Mars world either because it has Mars looking terrain and
textures and sky. It's only a P-20 world so others can't build there, but if
you want to see moving robots (thanks to Off World), a Martian Club where
you can listen to 2 different AW radio stations, a real NASA video stream in
the Mars Streaming Video Uniplex, look around in the underground tunnels, or
go North to see and hear Marvin the Martian on the highest mountain, check
it out. Comments are welcome.

Actually.. you can see all the annual fees at this page:
http://www.activeworlds.com/products/worlds_pricing.asp
The highest they have there is a P-100 which is plenty big enough to last a
long time with many friends, and if you want 20 friends in the world at
once, the annual cost would be $1,150. But you would also need to run a
highly sophisticated world server with plenty of bandwidth for a world that
size and 20 people at once. World server prices vary. If you are serious
about doing this, I would look around for really good ones at the best price
you can find. Also, if you want something bigger than a P-100, AW might be
able to make you a deal on something. But of course, keep in mind about
having a Galaxy or Universe as your own, if you could afford it. Those costs
are here for Galaxies (1 world universe):
http://www.activeworlds.com/products/galaxervers.asp and here for
Universes (more than 1 world):
http://www.activeworlds.com/products/uniserver.asp I found all these
addresses under their Products on the main page.

I don't work for AW. But I've heard in the past that huge worlds larger than
a P-100 are only dealt with on a one to one basis. I think that's the best
way so they can know who they are dealing with, with such a huge investment
of theirs and also yours. It's like buying a car, you want to know who you
are getting it from first.

That's really cool. So a P-500 world would be (10,000 x 10,000) * 0.00025 =
$25,000 a year but with a discount like Enzo just mentioned.

Just to remind everyone, most of the USA turns their clocks forward 1 hour
on Sunday, April 2 at 2 am. VRT Time will be the same, so instead of a 6
hour difference in PST, it will be a 5 hour difference, or instead a 3 hour
difference EST it will be a 2 hour difference. So the Egg Hunt will start at
3pm PST or 6pm EST on Friday, April 7 and be over at 3pm PST or 6pm EST on
Sunday, April 9. As for Europeans, I think their time changes this weekend
instead or something.
Good luck everyone clicking away. :)

Hi all,
I know this isn't actually too AW related for this newsgroup, but I thought
that since AW prices are kind of high, it could help someone with their
monthly budgets. I made it for myself because it works a lot faster than
using a calculator and since the program is extremely small, it only takes a
second to load.
I made it with Visual Basic 4 and it has 18 places to put things you buy
during that month (you can double things up too if you want). Like I use one
space for Food, one space for Internet/Phone, one space for electricity,
etc. And you can press the Calculate button and it tells you how much money
you have left. You can also press the Save button and it saves all your
information and also calculates automatically. Or you can just close the
program and it saves and calculates too (a smaller window pops saying it has
been saved and you press a button to continue (which will end the program if
you turned the program off, or it will go back to the main screen if you
clicked the Save button).
Anyway, this isn't some advanced program or anything, just something to make
things a little easier for the monthly budget. You can download it here:
http://www.actionmovies.org/budget/ If anyone uses it, tell me what you
think, thanks. Also, I'm sorry if this seems like it is spamming, but
honestly, I don't care if anybody uses it, just something I thought might
make things easier for somebody.
Apr 9, 2006, 11:50pm
I never took Geometry and I only know up to Algebra (forgot tons), so by
logic (LOL), I would think
those 6 areas are 6 decades of that month's average rainfall. Then you take
the highest average and make that your emergency flood possibility.

A couple months ago I pasted a URL with a budget program I made. Today I
found out some weird mathematical flaw in it that doesn't make much sense.
So please delete the program if you downloaded it. I'm not going to try and
fix it right now. Sorry about that and I hope no problems happened because

By the way, the problem is that it adds around 9 dollars to your total if
you just decrease 1 number by 1 dollar, when it should just increase your
total by 1 dollar. The strange thing is that as far as I know, the
subtractions are perfect in all other situations. Must be some strange
Visual Basic 4 thing and I'm not going to try and waste time on it anymore.

Yes, like deltaphc just said, XP only lets you use programs made before XP
came out using the compatibility mode. 4.1 has technology that 95 doesn't
know about. The System Requirements page is at:

Yeah I didn't like it either opening night of 4.1. But I see it's not on

I don't know if it's my regular RAM or my Video card, but whenever I change
back from 4.1 to 3.6, or from 3.6 to 4.1, my computer slows down
dramatically and I can't even open my web browser. I have 512 MB RAM with a
