Actually, I kind of like that idea. I mean, I have a LOT of people on my
lis. Some are PKs, friends, etc. But it would be a lot easier if it were on
the lines of the ICQ contacts list.

There is only one feature I really want-and that is to be able to block
telegrams. I have several anoying people constantly telegraming me for the
sole purpose to annoy me. I don't know about the rest of you, but I have a
sanity limit.......

I know this is impossible, but instead of being able to block tgrams and
mute people etc, I wish we could all get along all the time. This goes for

This is possible, with a microphone, website, and a computer =). All you
have to do is to record the message you want the people to hear with the
microphone connected to your computer and put it on a site via FTP. Then in
aw use the command create noise (the sound url here). With the create noise
command, it will not play over and over, just once.

I think it would be handy if the owner of a world could actually change the
world name on the worlds list, that would be handy if the theme changed, or
if the name wasn't atracting many users.

apart, then find a way to put it back together. Like a small radio for
example.

actually, with the 'sound' functions in AW, the sound fades up to a =
certain point, then it cuts off entirely. What would be more fruitful to =
the environment is directional sound. e.g, if you were facing the wall =
with a jukebox (object) off to your left, the music (wav, midi =
whatever...) coming from the jukebox would sound louder from the left =
speaker than the right, and visa versa. It would also do well to allow =
more than one wave file or midi to play at once to create a more =
realistic space, while fading in and out of them as you approach the =
object. One more detail that would be useful, if not entirely necessary: =
Volume control- The intensity of the sound at the closest point to the =
object. With multiple waves running at the same time, the louder/softer =
tones would naturally need to be manipulated without having to modify =
the actual wav file.=20

I agree, and there really are some great ideas on this newsgroup. I think
that if they really want AW to progress they should listen to what the

I think it would be nice if AW supported MP3. Most MP3's are only 3-5 =
megabytes, and much less if they are zipped. On a 56k or even 28k modem, =
dowloading should't take too long.

I think it would be neat if when you hit a button in AW such as "Jump" =

Te same thing happens to me, that is because ActiveWorlds uses VRT
timestamps, in which NDD considers invalid.
